If they find weed, drugs are added to your sentence, which is added to statistics of "people put in prison for drugs". Alcohol can be more dangerous in the short term, but unless you're drinking so much you obliterate your liver or are constantly drunk (which is extremely rare relative to the amount of people who are high nearly every day) alcohol has very little effect on your cognitive abilities besides a headache from hangover. Weed on the other hand has much more long term cognitive effects. I always see this argument that it's less physically harmful. Fucking obviously, weed won't give you cancer or kill you.
