I've noticed since the election that the lefties were really butthurt by us mocking their safe spaces and calling them snowflakes. they're using every chance they get to use these terms on us. keep up the good work

Which is their version of "liberals are tge real racists", complete poison to them. They're just walking around in circles and reacting to discourse, instead of leading it.
As for the, liberals still haven't caught on at all how the smuggies works. They are light strawmens, to compensate aversion people have for straight strawmens. That means it can't be wordy or complex, and can't reach caricature levels of "I AM SILLY!".
The way I would have done the OP's image would be by a draeing that's not unnatractive but it's slightly off, and write it as "SJWs hate free speech and will ban you if you disagree. Good thing we can finally speak freely here. You can't post if you're liberal though".

Because the mainstream culture is leftist, so they can't make subversive, and therefore funny, points.

I think lefties just want to sound intelligent (or what they believe is intelligent) as gratification against rightists.

The result is something that sounds like a hamfisted attempt to 'educate', rather than something funny and (at least a little) insightful
