I mean, the general reaction to any campaign that was meant to prevent bullying, promote equality or generally try to brainwash kids always resulted in everyone doing the exact opposite, particularly the boys. Most of the girls would do as they were told, as they have no sense of autonomy, but the boys always did the opposite.
I remember we had one campaign where you were supposed to stop bullying someone if they raised their hand and said "stop". Of course, this only resulted in them getting bullied even more or just beaten to a pulp.
I also remember they had something called a "bullying camp" for girls, where girls were supposed to learn how to assert themselves. Once again, it simply resulted in the boys mocking it and trying to goad the girls into fighting them.

When I went to a Trump rally a couple months ago, there were some high school students "debating" Christianity with a street preacher. I heard phrases like "teach love, not hate" in response to him preaching against homosexuality. I realized then that the road ahead is going to be hard won.
