Okay, it's not a scam, they do actually sequence your genome or at least a few hundred thousand markers.
The admixture analysis models can be a bit clunky, it isn't a massive problem when you can download your raw data and put it through a lot of other free third party ones such as on gedmatch.
People who get significant amounts of non-white admixture (often >1%) on 23andme, however, and try and pass it off as fake, are probably just a bunch of assdamaged mudbloods.
Autosomal DNA sequencing is sold as a loss leader - they absolutely are datamining, 23andme is really fucking open about this as well, your DNA data is being used in research and it's naive to believe that people won't try and buy out your data or hack that shit.
My brother works for one of their labs. They slip a little African DNA into any 100% White sample they receive, the owner insists on it.
