>According to a recent survey, Generation Z is shaping up to be the most diverse generation when it comes to sexuality, with barely half of Gen Zers identifying as exclusively heterosexual (compared to 65 percent of Millennials). Also the overwhelming majority of Generation Z seems to question the fixed boundaries (or at least the implications) of one’s gender, with 81 percent agreeing that “gender doesn’t define a person as much as it used to.” >As for the highly contested “bathroom bills” that have been popping up across the country, a whopping 70 percent of Gen Z support access to gender neutral bathrooms. Considering churches are suing state governments over new bathroom access legislation, it’s hard to imagine them catching up to the zeitgeist on issues like this anytime soon. >Generation Z will also be the most racially and ethnically diverse generation in U.S. history: almost half of the population identifies as nonwhite. And, with the demographic shift in multiracial marriages, we can expect increasing numbers of them to identify with more than one race.
inb4 >nuh uh! I was born in 1994 and I don't want to be a Millennial so Gen Z started in 1994
Josiah Williams
I thought Gen Z and Millennials were the same thing? People born after 1994.
Jason Howard
Millennials are people who were born from 1985-ish to 1995-ish. The name comes from the fact that they mostly came of age around the turn of the millennium. Gen Z comes after that.
Asher Sullivan
Why are these texts always so giddy about diversity? Are they saying that there's a difference between races?

I heard it summarised nicely: millenials as children saw the progress from vhs to dvd and hard drives, as well as casettes>CDs>mp3/smartphones. Gen Z is the group who doesn't remember 9/11 and grew up with computers and smartphones.
Ian Torres
Millennials are having kids already?
Christian Perez
Yes, though I imagine a good portion of sexually active millennials are too busy having casual, commitment-free sex.
Jayden Hill
Idk, my little cousin is gen Z and he and his friends are ludicrously based degenerate haters. You can definitely see that metrosexualism has become normalized though...

It's just funny seeing you and the bogan's posts right next to each other.
He's claiming that Millennials are the same thing as Gen Z, and you're claiming that a generation is only 10 years long.
>Millennials are people who were born from 1985-ish to 1995-ish Let me take a wild guess--you were born in either 1984 or 1996.
Millennials have a complex mental gymnastics routine they use to convince themselves that they're not Millennials.
If you see a post that says Millennials are from 1985 to 2000, you can be sure it’s a Millennial who was born in 1984. Likewise, if you see a post that says Millennials were born from 1980-1994, you can be sure it’s a Millennial who was born in 1995. The best are the ones who read both those posts and respond “I was born in 1991 so that means I’m definitely not a Millennial.”
Half of them are completely retarded, and the other half just feel too gosh darned special to be part of their generation.
Expect to see plenty of posts like these: >I was born in 1990. I can't be a Millennial. >Millennials are people born after 1995 check. >Millennials are people born before 1994 check. >My family didn't have internet service when I was 12. Definitely not a Millennial. >I ate cereal for breakfast as a kid. Not a Millennial. >I'm not a Millennial, I'm Gen Y. >I thought Millennials were born between 2002 and 2007 >I like tacos. There's no way I could be a Millennial.
Xavier Wood
>He's claiming that Millennials are the same thing as Gen Z, and you're claiming that a generation is only 10 years long.
They're about 10-15 years long.
>Let me take a wild guess--you were born in either 1984 or 1996.
Nope, 1991.

I've been in France recently, normally I don't visit churches because I'm not religious but I went to a mass on Sunday out of curiosity.
In Poland, if you go to a mass you can find two groups of people here. Boomers(mostly women) and schoolkids(they often have to go to church X times to attend this and that and those to take the sacraments), some very old people remembering world wars too, but they died out. Of course there are exception, but those are two main groups.
What surprised me was that there was plenty of young adults in the church. The old people/schoolkids demo was still the main group here, but the only time I've seen so many young adults in a church at the same time was on weddings.
Dunno, maybe I've just seen some anomaly.
Juan Ramirez

Where, exactly, do you think the name Millennial came from? The term was coined in 1991 and used for the generation born between 1980-1999. Then Millennials decided they hated being a part of their generation and started trying to move the dates. No other generation does this. You don't see Boomers crying >I was born in 1959. Definitely Gen X. >I can't be a Boomer, I remember watching the moon landing on TV.
Only Millennials are too super extra special to be a part of their generation.
Connor Lewis
>Conservatism will die in 10 years. Permanently! Thank fuck.

Help what? Being born into a generation doesn't necessarily mean you have to fall in line with the overall general defining viewpoints of that generation. It's just a generalization. There were people born in our grandparent's generation who were liberal cucks.
Austin Butler
Off yourself please. It's better to base the borders on the basis of actual changes like 9/11 than on the fact that a year contains trips.
Jason Long
>in college Literal Millennial trash you dumb Fin
Lucas Rivera
The problem is that 9/11 hold no impact outside the US. The cultural diferences make it so each nation is on a diferent stage of the generational cycle. For example EE has no baby boomers gen X or Milenials. If anything the next generation might be similar to the boomers.

Millennial here. It's mid 80s to late 90s/early 2000s. It starts in the mid 80s regardless. I don't know why this offends you.
>There are no precise dates for when this cohort starts or ends; demographers and researchers typically use the early 1980s as starting birth years and the mid-1990s to early 2000s as ending birth years.
Gen Z starts in the 90s according to Wikipedia, so the idea of mid 80s to late 90s seems valid for Millennials.
>Generation Z (also known as The Founders, Post-Millennials, Plurals or the Homeland Generation) is the demographic cohort after the Millennials. There are no precise dates for when the Gen Z cohort starts or ends; demographers and researchers typically use starting birth years that range from the mid-1990s to early 2000s, and as of yet there is little consensus about ending birth years.
According to Wikipedia, a generation is about 30 years long.
>It can also be described as, "the average period, generally considered to be about thirty years, during which children are born and grow up, become adults, and begin to have children of their own."
It is still untrue. It is impossible that 65% of a generation is gay. I imagine the bisexual women inflate the figures but still ridiculous numbers

>I'm so sorry
Horseshit.
>The more I argued with them, the better I came to know their dialectic. First they counted on the stupidity of their adversary, and then, when there was no other way out, they themselves simply played stupid. If all this didn't help, they pretended not to understand, or, if challenged, they changed the subject in a hurry, quoted platitudes which, if you accepted them, they immediately related to entirely different matters, and then, if again attacked, gave ground and pretended not to know exactly what you were talking about. Whenever you tried to attack one of these apostles, your hand closed on a jelly-like slime which divided up and poured through your fingers, but in the next moment collected again. But if you really struck one of these fellows so telling a blow that, observed by the audience, he couldn't help but agree, and if you believed that this had taken you at least one step forward, your amazement was great the next day. The Jew had not the slightest recollection of the day before, he rattled off his same old nonsense as though nothing at all had happened, and, if indignantly challenged, affected amazement; he couldn't remember a thing, except that he had proved the correctness of his assertions the previous day.
Michael Brooks

Nah. Gen Z will be the generation that will witness the collapse brought forth by weak men of the past generations. The strong among them will be the ones to survive and build a better future. The cancer known as liberalism is reaching it's final stages and the host is about to die. From it's corpse, something new and hopefully better will arise.

Question for 20 year olds of Sup Forums: looking at the chart posted, and based on your upbringing, do you feel more like late Millennials, or early Gen Zers?
John Myers
Article says Gen Z = mid-1990s to early 2000s (also what Wikipedia says in the Gen Z article's lede). Maybe some other definitions vary, but for this particular article, it's mid 90s to early 2000s.
