I've seen protests from time to time, but relatively nothing. When you ask people from Cyprus they say they are Greek but then can't explain why they are under the control of turkey if they are independent.

In 1974 there was a referendum which was about Greece acquiring Cyprus. It had about a 97% approval rate which is logical because.. well, we belong to Greece. We are pretty identical to Crete, the only difference between us were the Bongs who refused to acknowledge that union referendum and practically sold us to the roaches. That's really all there is to it, we have about 18% of the population that's Turkish and because of that they thought the island was theirs, completely disregarding the Greek majority. They occupy about 30% of the island which is called the TRNC, we call it the "pseudostate" here.
