I like mexico. Aside from the corruption, constant attempts at european style gun control, and cartel controlled areas it is a thriving second world country and I wish them the best. I just don't want all of their criminal underclass to come here. The people with skills, education, or resources do not jump borders. Only poor, desperate, or criminal mexicans do that. Even worse I do not want a trade treaty that gives them our manufacturing jobs because they work for less money.
Spain on the other hand tend to be hated for being shitskins and culturally backwards. Economically it is weighing a bright developing future against a century of stagnation. Personally I like spain because I associate it with the spanish civil war, which was in many ways bad ass.

If I had to name the biggest problem in Spain, more than the economic crisis, the independentism or whatever, it is the demoralization of its peoples brought to us by the disenchanting Spanish Left.
This is the kind of people who enjoys self-loathing like a pig enjoys his mud, if we have good news about unemployement decreasing or some corrupt being jailed, they will twist it to put it in a bad light with the aim to change the perception of the society towards it, to create a nihilist and "it is futile" mentality. It's also their necessary discourse, the Left saw a big growing window during the economic crisis and they NEED Spain to do it badly to justify their "muh evil capitalism, we are the socialist solution to all of Spain's problems" rhetoric.

Geographically we are more in the West than the Netherlands. The CIA World Factbook puts Spain and Portugal in their own South-Western Europe category.
A lot of our muslims are also in Ceuta&Melilla, kinda crapping all over the statistics, but yes, we still have a lot of them in big cities like Barcelona and Madrid and their periphery. I don't know if we have more than you statistically, though.
