I don't think so. I think the people that make America are in more places than where they are not. The problem is you can't look in the cities, of which the most of them are wholly corrupted. The people who happen to love America the most, ironically, are those who lead simple lives of little luxury.
I think it will happen once Trump is out of office, by the time the next election comes, the left will be so radicalized that they might go full socialist.
Socialism in the US will never work because individualism is so ingrained in your culture and values, but that isnt the reason it will be your downfall. The reason it will be your downfall is because socialists will promise free healthcare, free college and more handouts. They will either have to take up more loans to pay for this, or they will have to take the money from other places. They will most likely take the money from the army, seeing as they are pacifists.
If the US loses it status as a hegemon, they will lose their power to uphold the petrodollar. When this happens you will get hit by an insane inflation, thus creating the conditions for Weimar 2.
