jets were an extremely small part of the Luftwaffe and didn't make much difference in the end, hitler saw the value of jets too late and they were not being mass produced until too late in the war. after the war the allies came upon huge numbers of german planes in various states of disrepair, this was because they were not easily repairable, so a few bullets and the entire plane was useless. whereas american/british planes were extremely repairable and could take a pounding, barely make it to the airfield and be back in the air the next week.

The problem lies in manufacture. To manufacture for example the tiger tank, one factory in Germany could produce about 100~ tanks per year. Whereas a russian/american factory could produce thousands. The cost of a tiger tank was about in the hundreds of thousands each, whereas an american tank was about 40k.
Also, in german factories many parts had to be hand made on a lathe, installed and then the next part would be handmade and installed etc. and by the time it was almost finished, some engineer would want to make internal changes for "improvement' and the tank would have to be opened back up, new tech. installed etc.
Meanwhile tanks were being assfucked nonstop on the eastern front, putting this much time and effort into manufacture was detrimental. The russians used cheap parts and shitty transmissions etc. that wouldnt last long, because they calculated the avg. life of one of these tanks was 14 days, why put good parts and spend massive labor in the same time as you could make 15 shittier tanks?
