Explain yourself, then apologise.

What about debit cards?

Nope. I had one back in 1998, but I cancelled it.

I like using money i have rather than money i don't hvae

You're spending what you have, so it's less bad.

Hold on. Why the fuck wouldn't I use a credit card if I know how to finance my money?

With a platinum card you get 3% cash back on every thing you buy.
>being scared of credit cards
>sorry you don't know how numbers work jamal

If you can pay it you build credit and get better rewards from your card.

Using the credit isn't free money and I usually just pay my bills with it, but the rewards are free money.

yeah, sometimes i get great deals for travel and bonus points.

What kind of rewards do you get in America for spending you credit and repaying it on time?

>using cards at all
>leaving a trail of your purchases

I pay it off. Need credit built for a mortgage. They look at you like some alien without credit history. Wish I had not paid off my car so fast.

I have several but only use one. None carry a monthly balance. In fact, I just had one canceled for non use.

Feels good.

>Always pay balance in full
>Get 5% cashback on most purchases
Since I have never been charged a cent of interest while getting money back it's a clear win/win

I hate how they all but forced you to use one if you want any credit history.

I only buy things with credit card that I can't buy otherwise or it would be inconvenient(like waiting few days for bank to process it) and wire money to the card afterwards anyway

this

Nothing any good.

Good goy points. You wont get a mortgage if your score is bad.

>800 credit rating
credit cards are for good goys that spend lots and can pay lots. you get absolute security on fraud. debit cards fuck you over and make you pay then sue. never use debit. only use credit and spend what you want.

the rewards are for the good goys who pay on time and take advantage of the fact that millions of niggers dont know how to pay bills on time and pay 1000x more than what their bank statement should be.

i get 5% back on each purchase and its great. people who say kill the niggers dont understand how useful they are

I'm not a poor piece of shit so my credit gets paid off automatically every month.

this

I get 1 to 5% cash back.
t. Good Goy Score of >800

>Being a number 1 goy because you get (((rewards))) that aren't even close to the profit margins made by the bank borrowing out your money

Top fucking kek. It's not even like it's close to the "but I wouldn't even have a job if it wasn't for my boss so I'm fine with him making more money than me even though it's my labour" argument either. It's literally you being a good goy.

Just received my new credit card today.
Planning on using it for buying groceries only to get a better view at the end of the month on how much I spend on food.
This way I might change my spending habits single cent.

what card? I only get 5% on certain things

no it's not less bad.

Holding any amount of money in the bank allows them to create money out of thin air using your cash as a reserve. By holding money in the bank you are giving them the ability to debase your money. Literally cucking yourself.

>Planning on using it for buying groceries only to get a better view at the end of the month on how much I spend on food.
You don't need card for that, and bank's reports are often not best ones.
>gnucash
>ledger3
>even good-old excel

You are a retard. The only downside is having a complete record of all your purchases which is annoying and pretty bad but in today's society the government and corporations know everything about you anyways so may as well take the benefits.

I bet OP the type of fag who hides money under the mattress and then complain about being poor when he loses 20% of that value every year due to inflation

>he doesn't write his expenses on a notebook

I used my credit card to buy 3000 in bitcoin 2 months ago... Lets just say I've paid off my credit card, kept 3k in bitcoin and still have some leftover for trading.

what better way to screw the jew?

If I pay it back at the end of the month, I don't have to pay any extra's and it spares me the hassle of having to write down everything myself. I see it as a win-win situation.

>being white
>using credit
Pick one.

How are you paying for your internet connection?

I've never had a credit card.

To even fuck the kikes more, I've never taken out a car loan. The most they've gotten from me is home loan interest but even then mine was reduced since I got a home loan thru the VA for my first rental property, fixed it up now I let college kids rent it and now my renters pay my mortgage and use all my money from my normal job for shit I want.

Shit like this proves how low Sup Forums's IQ is. Credit cards are a no-risk all-win situation if you're not human garbage and can't manage money. If your card has cashback, you're literally making money by using the thing.

>consumer protections in case of fraud (can't do that with a debit card)
>build credit score to get good loan interest rates (some of us can't afford to buy a $20,000 vehicle or $400,000 home outright, sorry)
>get free shit (3-5% cashback, travel points, etc)
>no charges if you pay your statement on time

A credit card is a safe method of payment that REALLY REALLY REALLY favors the consumer. If you can't control yourself and go into loads of debt, it's your problem.

But for the rest of us, credit cards are better than cash or debit, because you get lots of consumer protections and free stuff like cashback rewards.

That's your money, fampai.

>5% cashback
What the fuck mythical credit card are you using?? The highest cashback rates are on cards that rotate rewards or only give it on special categories (typically not something useful like groceries).

Visa actually owes me $175.46.

>build credit
>buy house
>attract wife
>start family
>retire and sell house at a profit

Sorry I'm white.

>5% cashback
Please tell me who does this.

Keep all of your money in cash in shoeboxes under your bed, like this fucking mong.

True currency is anonymous tender.

So fucking what? You could live in the woods at this point and the government's still going to have a dossier on you.

>Buy shit on credit card
>Pay off credit card every month
>No fees, no interest
>Cashback quarterly
Im sorry none of you ever figured out how to maintain a budget. At least your late fees pay for my rewards.

This. People are just retards and buy a plasma tv they can't pay for and spend years shoveling out interest

I pay my bills on time. Go fuck yourself.

It's about principal, doesn't matter if it's the government or the homeless dude on the corner near walmart. It's nobody's business by mine and the seller/customer.

If you can do your boss's job then do his job. If you can't then shut the fuck up and do the job he has so generously given you. You're not a unique snowflake. If you piss off then 99 more will beg to take your place.

I know CapitalOne has a 5% cashback on ``rotating categories'' each quarter, but it's not that useful, since ``rotating categories'' can be anything. I remember seeing a card with year-round 5% cashback on wholesale and grocery stores, but they charged an absurd $100+ annual fee

PROTIP: If you have a bank of america account, you can get a BoA cash rewards card.
>3% cashback on gas ALWAYS
>2% cashback on grocery/wholesale ALWAYS
>1% cashback on anything else ALWAYS

I have a credit score of 760 thanks to a car loan... Probably much higher now thanks to my mortgage. Never had much use for a credit card.

>Getting fooled by fraud in the first place.

ITT: idiots who are too stupid and irresponsible to manage their money on credit.

if you just pay on time, it's worth it.
i have never had to pay interest and i'm really the one jewing them

I just hate using other people's money.,

>keep money in shoebox
>decide to buy an apartment
>exchange zog money for russian 'money'
>spend 5 minutes shoving kg of cash wads into bag
Feels good man

Not to mention when purchases are linked to your identity they are based on much more than the market value of the product or the purchasing power of the currency, preventing free market forces to dictate price.

Skimmers are hard to spot, and you can't do anything about a waitress writing down your card details

Why are you buying a 400k house if you can't afford it? 30k for a house. 500 for a half decent second hand car. Literally requires a year of work to own both. Why live beyond your means?

My Sams card has these same rewards. I have a $100 fee as well but my parents use my membership as well so the pay the fee for me.

I don't have one yet, but I figure I'll need to get one eventually to buy my sex bot.

Pay with cash no tip.

>Be me.
>Debit card compromised.
>All the money withdrawn.
>Get a phone call from the credit union.
>Hey, some sand niggers stole all your money, but it was insured because we aren't some cracker jack financial institution used by fucking retarded faggots, so you got all of your money back.
>Didn't even notice.
>Only inconvenience was going to the credit union to get a new debit card.

I have 100k in credit and my score is over 800. I'm playing Jewish games and winning Good Goy prizes. Jelly??

Why wouldnt I use one? I pay it off every month, and get cash back and ((build credit)) in return

>30k for a house
I don't want to raise a family in niggerville, thanks. I don't like the idea of going into 6-figure debt either, but family comes first.

>500 for a half decent second hand car
I got my car off craigslist, and it has been running well, but 500 is way too low for anything reliable or safe. Why not save up a little more cash and buy a decent old suv/crossover for about 5000?

I've never had any of those problems. Sounds like you want someone to take responsibility for you rather then be smart with your money.

This senpai.

Since this is a credit card thread. I have a quick question. Anyone else wonder why, all of a sudden, credit cards are made out of metal? Am I the only one that thinks this is suspicious?

Surely, there can't have been enough people breaking credit cards or that they were too expensive to just issue a new one.

My Occam's Razor answer is simply, when people didn't want to use them anymore they'd cut them up and throw them away, providing a physical manifestation of "I'm done with that line of credit." So a metal one eliminates this physical act and maybe they just put it in a drawer. Then one day they remember, "oh hey I've got that credit card," and they use it again.

I don't know enough about the tech behind credit cards, though, so if anyone knows more I'd appreciate it.

It's just suspicious to me.

>writing down your card details
>payments by PAN & CVC only without extra validation
Why do burger banks even process that garbage?

I've got 5% cash back on Gasoline, Amazon, Groceries, and Restaurants

2% on everything else

>credit cards are made out of metal

wat?

>when people didn't want to use them anymore they'd cut them up and throw them away, providing a physical manifestation of "I'm done with that line of credit."
Wut.

Penfed has 5% cash back on Gas card

Chase Freedom is 5% back on Groceries right now

US Bank has a card where you choose 2 categories to get 5% back on

ive got $200 left on one and after I pay it off next month im going to just use it to buy gas for my car and immediately pay it off every time I do.

I've never had those problems either, but it's best to be safe, and a credit card won't give you extra trouble (only protections and benefits) if you aren't retarded. I'll take responsibility for my own finances, thanks

I agree and I have never been in this situation but from what I've been told, getting money back from your financial institution's insurance is MUCH harder than filing a credit card fraud report. Your credit card can't go beyond the credit limit, which is an added protection.

Ive used a visa card since I was 18 years old and I've never missed a payment. Just don't buy shit you can't afford, its pretty simple.

My Amazon Signature and Sapphire Preferred cards are metal.

If you've got a family then you are dual income. 100k takes two years to earn if you save half with the shittest jobs around. A 100k house after living in a commie block or your parent's house for a year isn't bad by any means especially if you purchase it in a nice White rural location instead of New York.
I've been running $200 cars. Got through 3 in a decade but none of them broke down on me. $500 was if you wanted the nice shiny models.

My point was that you don't have to spend money you don't have. If you save up for years and buy it then good on you. If you want it now then get something cheap and replace it when you have more money.

That's just a facade on your Discover card, retard

Chase sapphire preferred is almost 100% metal.

Well, it's not mine, so I don't really give a shit

>$500 for a car
Wew lad

I don't believe in homes as an investment... but we are about to sell our 1,100 square foot condo for a $200k profit and buy a 2-3,000 square foot town house for next to nothing

It is understandable to think the way they think if you look at raw numbers and understand jewish tricks.

>Why would goldblatt give you literally FREE hundreds of dollars a year?

Well its like this. Take a cashback rewards card with 2% back on everything. Just an example, /biz/ doesnt need to wave its dick about it. Instead of using cash or debit you just use credit (responsibly, pay that shit off asap) and get 2% off everything in similar fashion to a tax return. If youre a day late on a payment you basically pay a fee worth months of that cashback. The interest is another month or two of cashback towards goldblatt. Do it twice in a year? Oh his hands a wringing just thinking of that literally free money you gave him. Havnt missed a payment in a while? Here Mr Smith, ill raise your limit another few thousand, why dont you get that new boat like Jones up the road did?

Meanwhile, down in the 500 credit rating, hordes of idiots are maxing out cards and paying minimum. This is where the big money is made. Using a credit card with "low" interest to buy a tv, new shoes and some cash advances? Oh baby its as if the sky opened and angels brought shekels of real silver and gold from heaven. That $1500 maxed out and minimum payments? That turns into $4500 once its all payed back. Now do that with 3-6 cards. Now that tens of millions of times.

I use an AMEX gold and pay it off every month. I earn rewards points and use them to pay for trips or items I would otherwise not purchase. Earlier this year I used my 2016 points for a 65 inch TV, I paid nothing for it.

That's fine if you didn't pay double for it after paying off a mortgage.

>lose money with every transaction
>I'll make up for it in volume xDDDD

I dont know a single person who have a credit card here, everyone is using debit + specialised purpose credits if they need something specific like a car or house

No, we are using pocket change and cash like you.

Everyone who has every travelled outside of his village or was in a hotel after 1970 needs a credit card.
Now apologize yourself you poor retard!

Hotels and car rentals need a cc.

I used a credit card to activate my PayPal account, put $175.46 on it as a buffer for the event my bank account was ever compromised again and I made a purchase that went into overage... Then cut the card up so I wouldn't use it for inane purchases.

In my case, as with my friends that use credit unions, it was pretty painless. The only complaints were based on the principle of some cunt stealing it in the first place and having to get a new card.

You paid the $195 membership fee

If you don't use any other benefits of the gold card other than rewards you could be doing much better with a different rewards card.

You don't have to pay future interest if you pay off the mortgage early you dumb fuck

Joke's on you: I'm using NFC.

The average home price here precludes most people dropping a million dollars in cash at the point of sale. I would like my kids to have a backyard to play in before they're twenty. You can always purchase a home that is below your means and pay it off early. That's what I'll be doing, but I'm in a fairly privileged tax bracket.

well googled it and seems to be an us only fad.

nope as much hard cash, barther and altcoins,
the only time i use my card is for paying all my bills and all the rest goes off my account, it's my mony if banks need money to buy property and play on wallstreet on their way to bankrupsy, not with mine.

You want to put banks back on their place or fight them? stop using cards, loans and credit.

Some things like hotels require credit cards you dipple fuck. If you can't pay off the full balance every month, you're retarded.
