British english

Wtf is y'all/tootin'/yuge?

Sounds degenerate

RP english (emma watson) is the best

>Should I spell colour with a U or not

They are literally the same but American if you're a lazy cunt.

Why not both? Dialects are fun.

I like the U, it looks way more professional.

Totally AmE. Screw the British and their fucked up phonetics.

I had hiccoughs recently. I felt pretty rough, though nowhere near as bad as the time I manually ploughed through a field with the consistency of dough.

Obviously it depends on where you're from

British
Games never support it though, it's always American

I don't like the overuse of "Z" in American English, give "S" its job back burgers

Meanwhile the TV, the movies, the radio, and everything else plaster British accents everywhere because if it's a British accent then you know it's authoritative.

>mfw a british person is on televison

American English is objectively better. Sorry dad. You created a great language, we only improved upon it. But the fact that the whole world learns American English through our cultural conquest signifies it's superiority.

>Games never support it though, it's always American

That's because they have to dumb the games down to cater to retards

the diffrence is so small, that you could learn one and bascily speak both

Literally no one uses tootin'

Y'all is southern

Yuge is mem

S C O T T I S H
C
O
T
T
I
S
H

British of course. American version of English is poor shit for niggers.

I use color when talking about the color blue, for example.

I use colour poetically. As in, "His passionate defense of his dialect was an attempt at added colour to his argument but, ultimately, it was rather dull."

>oiiiiiiIIIIII MATE
>INNIT BRUV
>YA SHEEP SHAGGA
>MATE MATE MATE OI OI
>FAHKIN TOSSA
Why do all the British English speakers I encounter in vidya sound like a bunch of retards

they say z as zed
fooken zed m8

ITS ZEEEEEEE

Sorry to interrupt you, but American English is a little bit retarded and simplified.

Its like learning Ukrainian instead of Russian.

all english was American english until the Brits wanted to sound more like fags, and evolved their dialect to sound more faggy / high class

Fuck off holidaymaker.

Wait 'til the Brits find out American English is closer to what they originally sounded like and only developed their accent after they got all butthurt that we BTFO.

Hahaha. Shakespeare sounded more like a Virginian than any Brit alive today.

Shhhh. Nobody tell them. It's hilarious.

no fucking way
proofs RIGHT NOW

y'all'd've is a fantastic example of American Ingenuity.

The more words you can combine together to save letters and time, the better.

>work graveyard shift at a manufacturing plant in the middle of nowhere
>we only get 3 radio stations
>one of them is NPR, which switches to BBC Radio at 11 PM (so 3 AM in England)
>mfw they constantly use miles to describe distance
Get used to it, bongs

I did the New York Times accent/dialect test. Apparently my english dialect is closest to Pembroke Pines, Florida.

I said "phonetics", not "orthography". RP is fairly understandable, but seems like only news presenters speak it.

I prefer British English.

It sounds more polite and clear than American English.

English English

I sometimes feel the same.

You forgot
>CHEEKY BAHSTAD

Google it.

The Puritans settled in New England. The Cavaliers of London settled in Virginia and the southern region. The Quakers settled in the Pennsylvania Philadelphia region. And the Scotch and border dwellers settled in Appalachia.

Look up the Virginia Piedmont dialect. Tangier, Virginia accent, too.

>SWEAR ON ME MUM CHAV
what the fuck is a chav

Here you go

youtube.com/watch?v=MZEyAsvi_0E

I find this hard to believe.

>he actually thinks a melted pot of different english languages is anthing close to what could be called the "original sound" of English.
>he doesnt understand that England has more accents/dialects in a 5 mile radius on any point than the entire USA.

English or (Simplified) English you mean.

>he doesn't know that we use Miles in the UK.

The UK has a much more diverse set of accents that the US, and most of them are non-rhotic, whereas AmE isn't. And what the fuck is The British English that the bongs supposedly "came up with out of butthurt". RP?
Looks like another attempt of Americans to make themselves relevant desu

Both tbgh. American accent/slang and British slang/spelling.

If you don't listen to the callers to small-time talk radio or haven't traveled around the US, then you would have no idea what variety of accents we have.

And then there is the "all rook same" effect. I did an experiment with some Australians on vocaroo a while back and I couldn't find a single one that sounded like what I thought Australians sounded like from the media, and I was utterly unable to guess where in Australia they were based on accent alone.

You do know that until the 20th century, we spoke like Brits right?

youtu.be/BRcTCUTXr5M

...

American English of course because it has more words

Southern American english

They were made by retards (Americans).

American English until the bongs can kick out nonwhites, or at the very least carry spoons in public without a license.

I like how they sound, but they need to sort themselves out first.

They're from London, that's why.

youtube.com/watch?v=eeR7Ljv_tPc

Cajuns have the oddest, Tennesseeans have the thickest southern accents.

youtube.com/watch?v=cPembXZMKv0

So we developed and you stayed in the same, if you're happy to be a gang of monkeys then that's great for you.

lol. We "developed."

Translation: "Our aristocracy was so eternally BTFO and embarrassed they mad up some bullshit accent to differentiate themselves and make it appear that they were still 'better' than the Americans, and then your lower class started copying because, of course, humans want to be like the upper class."

lol. Such is the life of the eternally butthurt Brit.

Again, we developed, tried to better ourselves. Whether it was successful or not depends on bias.

You meanwhile are content to not only make monkey noises but protect it as a vernacular. Do you love diversity that much?

What is wrong with your nation??

Yeah we really have a problem with nonwhites being 90% white, America is 59% white so they are fine

>what is the weights and measures act

Our minorities integrate. Do I need to show you some BASED black men?

We use miles you fuck

Southern fried English is best English.

>Our minorities integrate

youtube.com/watch?v=xqSMtoPC7uw

Is it actually hiccoughs in BE? I've only ever seen it as hiccups, and we respect the Queen.

>we respect the Queen
Is that why you shot at her?

Why not both? America and the UK are the greatest countries on Earth after all.

Love you Amerifats

Our blacks integrate. We've just got issues with Muzzies.

We what now?

cringe

...

British English sounds better

anyway, Old English is the best

fuck you Normans!!!!

QEII got shot at during some sort of parade in Canada. Quite unruly of you.

>our blacks integrate

youtube.com/watch?v=KZzUvDtmhaw

British, of course. Received Pronunciation, preferably.

Actually, fewer and fewer news presenters do...

They call it cultural enrichment.

...

Sauce? My google search returns nothing.

there is only one choice lad

Cringe indeed.

Mike Jeavons anyone?
youtube.com/watch?v=5Na7b5MiVak&ab_channel=MikeJeavons

Who cares as long as it's english.

generic american english(tv ppl speak) is typically spoken in Iowa.
Michigan rates their accent as best and believes they speak proper american english more than any other state
-source some polls
Bawston has the worst accent, thinks caught and cot are said the same.
-source me
As the northern vowel shift continues to take place american english will become more distinct

I like you.

This.
