what kind of argument are you fishing for?

tax cuts have never been demonstrated to lead to enough economic growth to offset the loss in revenue, due to the fact that the majority of cuts are to the wealthy. the reason cuts for the wealthiest americans do not generate more revenue or lead to more economic growth is because the wealthy either do not invest wisely or simply do not invest their money back into the u.s. economy at all, and either store it offshore or invest it overseas.

the laffer curve, wherever it is at, is likely much, much higher than the top marginal rate has been since world war 2.

for tax cuts to lead to economic growth, or to even potentially offset the lost revenue and not increase the budget deficit, they have to go to people who are almost entirely guaranteed to spend all of their money--the working class.

Well, two things:

a) Production has become easier, whereas the economy has only become more volatile and risk-oriented. Now, I think the wage-increase ratio here is absurd too, and inequality is absolutely a problem that should be fixed, but given the first statement, of course CEO/executive compensation has increased far faster than those of the working-class. Also important to note is at the top there are many companies offering very high compensation to lure highly talented CEOs/execs, so in order to compete companies don't often have a choice, but, in my opinion, this only further illustrates the principle in statement 2, that...
2) More competition in the form of mass immigration and H1Bs reduces the ability of the working-class to properly and effectively negotiate a fair wage. Look at CEOs/execs and the scarcity they have; this allows them to negotiate obscene contracts with gigantic wages, bonuses, and stock options. The solution isn't to, what, increase their taxes to strip them of all their additional compensation (which'll only cause businesses to offer them more, and that money comes from the wage war chest!), but to give the working-class the same opportunities to show they're just as vital as their bosses (which cannot be done if they can be replaced the next day by someone for half the wage).

What happened to the sensible Left in this country? Look up old videos of Arianna Huffington, the founder of the ultra-liberal/leftist rag Huffington Post, and even she talks about the negative effects of mass immigration.

And even if we grant this premise, how is that Democrats still cannot understand people on the Right have a different conception of morality, and generally vote based on principles, not outcome? Perhaps stifling economic freedom or implementing an unfair tax rate is simply morally wrong, even if it would benefit the voter? "Who cares about morality, vote for your own interests!"
