Is there truly anything to truly fight for anymore?

I've been lurking Sup Forums for a while now and it seems like there aren't any REAL problems that we can do anything about besides post about. It feels like in this time of history there's no point in getting angry over everything you don't like. I think this is our chance in time to enjoy our existence and lay off of creating reasons to be unhappy and bitter like the feminists that are often made fun of for their strange beliefs. What do you think Sup Forums?

I honestly don't think it's all that complicated. I think there's a TON of money being made by selling the illusion that this problem is too complicated to solve. In reality, it's just the fucking banks, hedge funds, and the parts of "investment" culture that have gotten out of control.

The problem is that so much money is tied up in these investments & transactions that have no real ties to tangible assets like real estate, or a business that sells a product or service. They're buying & selling elaborate forms of debt & interest. It's basically imaginary money, but they work it out so you get a much more reliable return on your investment than you would by investing in something "risky," like a real business that would actually employ people & create innovative products.

"The Big Short" is actually a pretty good entry-level book/movie to start understanding this problem. And EVERYONE should start learning about this shit, because the whole shitstorm we are living in right now is rooted in this problem.

Even "big businesses" are living on scraps these days. They're not joining together into massive conglomerations & shipping jobs overseas just because they're greedy, it's because money is really fucking tight, all around. Because it's all tied up in bullshit, just a few people constantly passing money around & multiplying it in these meaningless exchanges of debt.

What if they just passed a law that made it illegal to invest in fake shit like that? Isn't that pretty much what we did after the Great Depression? I know I'm oversimplifying the problem a bit, but that really is a BIG part of it.
