I would go somewhere inbetween futurism and primitivism. Primitivism will fail so long it's dependant on other people not allowing it, and the bankers and their useful idiots absolutely will never allow people to live 100% off-the-grid in any reasonable numbers.
A healthy mix of primitive tribalism, living with your tribe in the proximity of nature, and technology (especially weapons), might have theoretical possibilities of succeeding.

Primitive anarchism is the dumbest of all anarchy. Let's assume you don't get overtaken by a more organized nation with a vastly superior military. There will still be someone who wants to be in charge badly enough they will kill people for it. History has proven my point for me. Anarcho-primitivism simply evolves into monarchy as time passes. Ironically this ideology forgets the simply fact that it's human nature to want power and control. Even primitive societies had leaders just look at the Zulu tribe of Africa.

This. I would love to just build my own shelter in the middle of the woods, live off the land, and not pay taxes. Problem is that I would probably be arrested for that in the U.S. Best we could do now is buy cheap land, build a cheap house, and pay a minimum of taxes. Maybe buy some solar panels.
