Here's what i think - UK needs to end its alliance with the US and publicly announce it for the mullah around the globe. I sincerely believe this alliance is key to the problem.

I mean look at Canada, it is essentially a liberal utopia, with ton of muslim immigrants but do you see jihadis running around bombing shit and killing canuck kids? No you don't! why? Because Canada has virtually no involvement in the middle east and global politics. Don't get me wrong, I realize Canada is an ally to US as well but its not the same when compared to UK-US relations and how it is perceived by the mullahs. UK is simply too deep in the sack with the US and the mullahs hate that. So they deploy proxy war on US via hurting UK.

Now this proxy tactic wouldn't be a problem if UK had just as strong an army like US, and a very efficient intelligence network like the CIA built to combat terrorism not just domestically but globally as well. UK is not US when it comes to military and intelligence might, and clearly MI6 which used to be one of the best, has become inept and incapable of protecting its citizens. I know intelligence sharing is an option but that only works when you're operating internationally, countering international terror outfits. Domestically, this concept does not work.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that the British need to realize and understand this aspect of the problem and take necessary steps distance themselves from US alliance. They need to pull back on their liberal and immigration policies for the time being. Until such time that UK becomes as strong as the US capable of handling terror both homegrown and globally, they can't afford to be liberal nation.

Terrorists don't need automatic rifles to cause massacres and many attacks are carried out with guns that are legal in many countries, like semi autos or pump action shotguns. Also it's not like they give a shit about the law here, that doesn't stop black market weapons getting into the hands of terrorists.
