Were these freaks really that bad? At the time (2000s) I hated them and thought they were degenerate shit, but now I find myself being nostalgic for the goofy, shitty goth/emo subculture, most of whom were anime obsessed.
As shitty as they were, there was something better about them than anything we have today. Modern culture is just shittier and shittier. And you don't know what you got till its gone.
Emo/scene girls were hot as fuck and horny like rabbits. God I miss them.
Gavin Ward
lmfao
Nolan Sanchez
I feel like I missed out by thinking I was too good/smart for them. I mean the emo/goth shit was so shitty... but it had a spirit all its own.
Sad
Thomas Gomez
counterculture 101
Zachary Torres
you really did miss out. I had fucking incredible 7s and up riding my dick from 2000-2010
Xavier Lee
Dumb scene slut I used to know
elaborate on what you mean, senpai
Ryan Kelly
christ, that bitch is rough looking. hope you had fun, at least
Jeremiah Diaz
they are sjws now
Hudson Mitchell
No we're not.
Ian Robinson
Yea there is something nostalgic about it indeed. I remember wearing tight skinny jeans for the first time and skateboarding too. I also remember growing out my hair, getting my first pair of Vans shoes, listening to Metalcore and post hardcore like Chiodos. It was like a white suburban teenage gang lite culture.
All the chicks were hot and horny, there was such a feeling of who gives a fuck. It's very weird to describe, but there was something care free and cool about the whole emo skate culture thing, it was like an existence in a little bubble.
Jeremiah Thomas
They got older and became liberal sjws.
Ian Fisher
I agree OP, I used to be an emofag in 2010 when I was in highschool. I listened to MCR, Linkin Park, Three Days Grace and all this other edgy crap and even dated a goth chick back in a day.
Not an emofag now, I am 23 and full redpilled frequent Sup Forumsack. It's quite funny how I look back with nostalgia to these days and despite how most of the scene was emofags and scene sluts, I still kinda consider it a better subculture than this hipster shit that came after that which I never truly got into and which evolved into SJWism.
>tfw no cute emo grill to get fashy with
Brandon Cruz
>tfw you'll never be listening to Underoath with your bros in the mid 2000's ever again
Why even live?
Josiah Davis
Get the fuck out of here, you think the kids in the Chiodos mosh pits turned into SJWs? That was half my friends in HS, and they're the ones that sucked it up, cut off their hair, and got regular 9-5 jobs.
Owen Phillips
huge nympho mentally ill slut, had fun, dodged an STD bullet tho wewlad
yea, otaku is more like high school anime geeks, not the same as shutin anime dorks
Jose Cooper
>Not an emofag now, I am 23 and full redpilled frequent Sup Forumsack. It was degenerate but it was quality White kids who GAVE A DAMN about life and art.
It's sad to remember it and see how much shittier it is now. And things were fucked u then, too, but holy fuck it's gone far.
Jackson Walker
NOPE
Jordan Phillips
This attitude comes from being overloaded with goodies.
Awesome sex + awesome food + awesome intense music = one big fucking mental buzz. It kind of cheapens everything ater in life.
Sad.
Thomas Sanders
>huge nympho mentally ill slut, had fun, dodged an STD bullet tho wewlad
Caleb Perez
She was actually really fun in bed, and crazy as fuck. It was intense and I loved it. My first lay.
Robert Morris
*triggers nostalgia*
Cameron Scott
>otakus Lol wut
Thomas Diaz
anime obsessed geek people back in the day
Cooper Williams
I actually loved the fact that emo/goth stuff was explicitly white subculture and largely apolitical. I remember by the second part of 2000's lots of them hung around at local art schools. Here in eastern europe, Emo/Goth was actually a big thing for a long time and we had couple of local emo bands and even some movies that featured this subculture. It's really cringe to look back, but at least there was some energy to it, wasn't this low-energy numale folk that SJW's and hipsters listen these days.
Adrian Gonzalez
Yep the emo stuff is the last true mainstream white subculture.
Jonathan Campbell
you were worried abut whiteness in Estonia in the 2000s? That's pretty farsighted of you. I'm impressed.
You're so right, man.
Jayden Ortiz
Say what you will about emos, goths, scene kids, and faux anime fan con goers, at least they're not niggers.
Ian Ortiz
TPBP >thispostbestpost
Camden Kelly
Not literal whiteness, I mean the appearance. It was separate from the hip-hop and the bob marley shit that had more nigger flavor to it. Of course back in a day I didn't think in racial terms, because it's a 99.8% white country. I only discovered race realism last year when I discovered Sup Forums and got redpilled.
That's the impression I have. The hipster/SJW stuff these days is something accessible to all races.
Jonathan Brown
emo is somewhat a thing in younger christian music still. pretty much all those forgotten genres are there. just gotta find jesus and he will rock out with your nostalgia bros
Christopher Hughes
That shit was gayer than traps t. I had the haircut and everything
Jackson Sullivan
It's not the same
Carter Gonzalez
the funny thing about the mid 2000s emo kids. their look & fashion morphed into the gay ass 80's LA hair metal zone and they didn't even realize it!
Josiah Davis
Those freaks aren't distinct from today's - it's a continuity. Furries used to be regarded as fucking demented, but they were the people who granted safe harbor for all kinds of fetishists, who in turn formed a net that dragged in all the genderqueers. Emos and goths were certainly among their numbers, and served as mentors.
Otakus were obsessed with sci-fi, sad dreams of being masculine, and hot 2D girls. That last part became dominant, and iterated over and over again into the moe dystopia that anime is today.
I'm sure a lot of these people are now Sup Forumsacks, while others fell even deeper into madness after they failed to land a job at Buzzfeed.
James Turner
>the funny thing about the mid 2000s emo kids. their look & fashion morphed into the gay ass 80's LA hair metal zone and they didn't even realize it! this
>christian emo Do you mean Relient K? I think they moved on to numale folk already.
Gavin Diaz
Now you know why it seems like so many guys are genderqueer and feminist today. All a pursuit to fuck the horny low-self-esteem girls. Same shit, different t-shirts.
Anthony Price
Nope. You would be suprised, but Sup Forums is kind of like degenerates anonymous.
Really funny to listen to stuff like this still being made, I think I haven't listened to nu metal stuff for 5 years now.
Matthew Perry
good stuff man fuck i hated this shit back then now i kind of hate to say i like it what the fuck man
Landon Phillips
screaming totally fucking ruins this, but it's good otherwise
Colton Kelly
Im the same way, ive tried to put it into words a few times, but its like the whole world converted into the same thing somewhere around 09 or 2010. All the freaks and lulz went away. Businesses became wise to the internet, and all the weird shit and people mostly disappeared or became part of the sjw culture. As much as I hate furfags, they might be the only ones resilient and weird enough to not be infiltrated and consumed by the normalfags
I've seen countless threads on this across multiple boards and I've determined it's because of facebook and the iphone in 2008 making it socially acceptable for normies to be on the internet 24/7
Start with a good idea (let's say 2001-era scene), tack shit on to keep it fresh (2006), end up... tacky (2011+).
Now, it's folding back in on itself. Some people literally look like anime (outliers, but still), while others are insistent on rehashing plaid shirts over and over again.
Angel Adams
They're normal people who subscribe to a different pop culture.
Nolan Garcia
they're the only ones who accepted me in middle school. they were weird, so it made me feel comfortable. now all my age group has to offer are "nerds" who soak up this star wars bullshit and remakes of old movies, which is all just manufactured culture. i mean yeah theyre still weird but its not the same
Jonathan Phillips
I worked with this guy who used to wear a collar. He drove me back from work sometimes. One day we stopped to pickup his girlfriend, and she was this 8/10 short goth chick who was completely insane and ill tempered. Turns out she used to make cuts in him with a knife so his upper arm was full of scars. He told me the sex was always great though, and that she had some kind of needle injection that stopped her from getting preggo
Andrew Moore
No, that shit was gay af even back then. Only thing I miss is everyone now is just lemmings. Subcultures are dead.
Carson Gray
>tfw creating flash games and stick fight animations for Newgrounds in 2006 >tfw watching happy tree friends in morbid curiosity >tfw boxxy and tabby memes on Sup Forums >old youtube with TF2-themed videos made in Garry's Mod >being a sims 2 forum admin and uploading images at photobucket to show my sims family to the girls who had accounts there >being a drawfag and uploading stuff on deviantart It's pure, undiluted cancer but this picture hits me right in the feels. It was my teenage years after all.
Gavin Wilson
Black weebs are usually pretty cool dudes in my experience. Not sure if theyre ostracized in their own culture or not.
Nicholas Flores
> never again listening to August Burns Red, Devil Wears Prada, Bullet for my Valentine, Escape the Fate, etc. This, World of Warcraft becoming a big thing helped too. It's funny looking back at how I used to listen to all this screaming music, wear tight jeans, be obsessed with wearing my hair a certain way; and now I'm wearing hiking boots, wanna shave my head, listening to National Socialist Black Metal, Pantera, crazy satanic shit.
Aaron Murphy
The definition of emo has a weird history. Started off with super sad folk music (Bright Eyes), was picked up by poppier stuff (Dashboard Confessional), and somehow landed in Linkin Park's lap. It definitely mixed with goth after that, and maybe even subsumed it in a way.
Julian Ward
>TFW every decade sees nostalgia for two decades prior >TFW emo/goth/scene will be cool again in a few years once the 2020s start with 2000s nostalgia
Mason Baker
>most of whom were anime obsessed. not where i'm from familia
Adrian Moore
It's degenerate as fuck but kind of awesome.... if not for the horrible consequences for society.
subcultures are actually bigger than ever, though, what do you think Sup Forums is?
Multiculturalism alone is making everyone more subculturalized. provemewrong
Chase Reed
Least you didn't make anime AMVs and your own little storylines out of them with linkin park / sad avril lavigne songs. Oh I did.
fuck.
Michael Hall
They were complete and total faggots. My best friend in highschool was a emo, I should have stopped being friends with him right then and there, but I needed a friend at the time. Dude CHOOSE to live a miserable life, like it was not even thrust upon him. Now he is 30 working at some shitty Casino in Oregon.
Camden Moore
> listening to National Socialist Black Metal, Pantera, crazy satanic shit. try harder
Christopher Campbell
Found the kike.
Carter Stewart
no you didn't
Evan James
yea but with more spicks, niggers and burnt out methheads than ever
FUCK YAAAA FAMM
>They were complete and total faggots Agreed, but they were /ourfaggots/, plus they were laughable and you could fantasize about fucking one of the messed up chicks in the scene.
It was shitty, but still better than any of the trash we have now. We're going for a new dark age now. Fuck.
ufeelme?
Cooper Bailey
Good riddance, 1990's was pure cancer. I was born in 1993 but I don't remember 90's one bit, my memories started around 2000-2001. Can't wait for that sweet 2000's nostalgia to become a thing.
David Cruz
Ex goth here. I gave up heroin, hair dye, sexual promiscuity and Throbbing Gristle in the late 2010s, now have a job, family and healthy distaste for Muslims and feminism.
Jace Barnes
Black weebs are the most cringe, ass-burger fuckers I've ever met. Maybe getting a free pass on everything for being black failed to establish firm social borders.
And yes, they resent macho niggery culture, opting more for a Dave Chappelle kind of vibe. Also light SJW stuff sometimes, but not full-bore feminism (black Chads are the die-hard feminists, in my experience).
Angel Green
Yeah ive done a lot of thinking on it too. It feels like the whole world died and im the only good person left. Makes me wish I more openly embraced all the weird shit while it was still around.
At this point social media corrupts everything. Theres no getting people away from it. The only thing I can think of is to find some way of integrating the internet with public spaces outdoors around people thats better or more convenient somehow. Something to split the demographic of people who used to always spend their nights on the net, and the normalfags
Michael Mitchell
>live in hispanic majority area >no goths when i was a kid and teen at school
Fuck miami. I still find them attractive as fuck. I don't like their music or anything but damn it the girls make me diamonds. Hoping that if I succesfully pull off the peter steele look I'll attract them from the shadows like moths to a flame.
Had an LDR with one for a while though, never have I met an individual more obsessed with the nightmare before christmas film...
Kevin Ortiz
ex goth here as well. still have my gothic wardrobe hidden away in back of my closet. It may have been over 15 years ago or so but when its halloween its time to be myself again for just one day.
Aaron Sanders
Can't be worse than playing Runescape all day after school. >tfw no qt3.14 female acc to protect from the hobgoblins
Benjamin Thompson
>the late 2010s you mean like 2017, because that's the late 2010s?
Juan Williams
I'm 26 and have no nostalgia for this. Scene kids were the biggest douchebag posers. Emo/ otaku types were weird social outcasts no one wanted to be a part of, don't kid yourselves.
Highschool sucked and i'm glad to never have to deal with social cliques again. At least most people my age finally act like real adults now.
Jaxon Butler
>1990's was pure cancer. >golden age of JRPGs >high-budget anime >no normies on the internet keep on being ignorant
Lucas Evans
Do you think you can find any goths/emo chicks at all these days in america?
Adam Long
I did sperg out at a concert I went to one night and had a qt white wafiu on my nuts that night, but I was high energy, even jumped off the stage after getting dragged off by a bouncer. I was ruled by no man that night. I guess I am being a bit overzealous about it.
Mason Price
Im gonna be honest with people.
I hated emo kids because I was jealous they had better social and sex lives all from bullshitting everything. They pretended to like certain bands, conform to a certain style, and pretty much ride the trend train to score with girls and make more friends. Meanwhile, I tried to be true to myself, yet being myself at the time wasn't appealing to others. That's where I got bitter and called people posers while jerking off and listening to metal alone.
Scene kids were no different. Just a bit more flamboyant. Some of them were a bit obnoxious, but why be upset over a skinny kid who can get his ass whooped? That's called being insecure.
The goths in the past were either, well, just dark people with a pissed off look. Then there was the later type of goth in the early 2000's where it was like a weeaboo Deviant Art type of goth. They were rather harmless, but growing up, their popularity ended swiftly once emo, scene, and modern skater came out.
Weeaboos were typically gay/lesbian proto-furries in their little cliques reading manga. They were emo LITE or like the drama class geeks.
Alexander Powell
>At the time (2000s) That was literally the only time they were okay Soon as 2007 hit the entire branch including all their subgroups went to shit and they became what you percieved them all to be in the early years of this century >Ywn have sex 3 times a day with a qt pale 5'2 goth again >Ywn get to laugh at homos without having some retard give you the stink eye or start screeching at you ever again >Ywn find qt tomboys with short hair that aren't massive dykes, leftists, whores, or all of the above ever again '98 - '05 was the best times of my life and I'm sad they're gone
Luke Torres
Young and fertile? I doubt it.
The one I met online was from the most depressing shithole of a state we have known as west virginia, I'd probably check there in person if the opportunity arises. Also the whitest state iirc.
Christian Torres
>Scene kids were the biggest douchebag posers.
I'd like to know your perspective on this. How were they douchebag posers? Tell me what they did in your eyes.
Jaxson Campbell
Whoops, 2009 to be precise. Thanks pedantanon I don't have any cloths from that era, but the scars haven't faded...
Elijah Thomas
Most became SJWs or normies, but I know/have known a few who are still.
Austin Rogers
>Implying the other half didn't shoot themselves or jump.on the sjw bandwagon the moment it came along I know it's the truth user, I go to DGD concerts still to drink with Mess and have to meet these little shits and fag who never got out of it. He's right and you know it
Leo Jenkins
Godspeed user, that is a noble quest to undertake. Should try and find someone like this too one day in my area just for the sake of it if anything.
Henry Cox
Go home Alexander, you're too young to post here.
Daniel Hill
Yes, but you'd have to look online like said. Also, most of them evolved into this. Honestly, emo and scene girls were 10 times easier, because all you had to do was dress a certain way for the most part, which was 90% your hairstyle. The new girls have a list of behaviors, looks, interests, etc. as a requirement. Not impossible, but not as easy to bullshit your way into their pants as emo/scene girls.
Jaxon Jenkins
It's like one of those movies like invasion of the body snatchers.
Alexander Martin
Stupid faggot. Go back to pleddit please.
Nathan Cooper
Goth and emo weren't/aren't related.
Thomas Sanchez
>last year when I discovered Sup Forums and got redpilled I'm glad you were able to go so long without ha in to see how fucked everything is Esti sorry the redpill hurt so much
Levi Garcia
Ha that's so true. I was watching season three of kimmyv schmitt, there is an episode set at a college party and the gist of it is the guys are reacting to the girls to get their hole by adopting woke culture or whatever they call it
Asher Scott
That person definitely wouldn't be allowed in a goth club.
Michael Martinez
they were cancerous retards
Christopher Nelson
I thought they were strange, but they didn't follow degenerate liberal politics. It was mostly anti-Christian and in my mind that is good because Christianity, Judaism, and Islam are sand nigger religions toxic to the minds of white youth. Alot of them moved to superior religions like Paganism and Buddhism which was pretty cool, Also alot of them had cool hobbies like skateboarding or driving fast cars. It was a good time to be a subculture then, and the music was a whole lot better.
