has there been anyone in a similar situation as assad before? (not hussein or gadafi everyone knows them)
best person i could think of as the "original" assad would be like sankara in burkina faso
>widespread social reform and secularity >rights for women >didnt play the (((imfs))) game and refused (((foreign aid))) so his nation could grow its own food >burkina faso was one of the most agriculturally self sufficent nations in africa
>gets removed (A.K.A killed) by burger and frog intel
was he the "vintage" version of assad?

That Czech president/general during WW2 to prevent his country to being over run by both Nazi's and Soviets?
Robert Ward
the who now? they got over run by both.
Ryder Williams
Can't remember for sure, but I think he ended up working with the Nazi's to protect his people? Otherwise I could be completely confusing this with something entirely different.
Sebastian Parker

Anyone seen uncensored edition?

Sankara made massive reforms and was hated by western politicians because he pissed of the frogs, Assad only started to gradually change the country and is hated by western politicians because his country has close ties to Iran.
I'd rather compare him to Alexander Dubček, the guy responsible for the Prague Spring

What? How can Assad be compared to Mossadegh?

The CIA is trying to oust him out of his country and make it "democratic"
Easton Lopez
Exact opposite Mossadegh was the only shot Iran had to move to a real democracy CIA removed him by a coup and installed an authoritarian king
Pure lies, don't you understand that America wants to build """""""""""""""""democracies"""""""""""""""""""" in the middle east. In no way would they install their some dictator and make it their puppet state.

Iraqis will be angry about this bullshit. I don't think even the puppet government can take bullshit of this magnitude much longer.
Owen Perry
The Kurdistan Question is really going to become an issue soon I think. The harder the US pushes it as a puppet state the more of a liability it becomes for provoking a regional war. It’ll get them kicked out of Iraq and completely lost to Iranian influence but give them countless excuses for future meddling if they get a Kurdish state to hijack.
Not only is it the excuse to annex a chunk of Syria and Iraq but gives them a claim to go after Iran to 'liberate' Iranian Kurdistan after a few false flags. Probably try and pull the same shit on Turkey as well in the long-term to give them choice of either returning to US influence with even more conditions than before or being Balkanised.
Connor Gonzalez

We get a million Poles here, but why do we never get these qts? Just get the averagey ones.
Still, better than the average British so-called 'woman' though. A 5/10 Pole can easily compete on equal terms with at least up to a 7.5/10 Brit.
what does an ugly polish woman do to look pretty? she moves to uk.
Joshua Adams
>We get a million Poles here, but why do we never get these qts?
Cause when you are a hot polish qt, all you need to do is find a loaded guy and you're set for life. But if you're an average looking girl, you must work and britain pays more shekels, simple as that.

Only some of it is though. Latakia is largely untouched, Damascus is ok apart from a few suburbs and even Homs and Hama aren't that bad. It’s only Aleppo, Raqqa, DeZ and Daraa and the territories IS have held that are truly fucked. But then who knows, maybe it's the excuse to do a proper job of rebuilding Aleppo into a proper 21st Century city if a fuck ton of loans and re-building contracts pour into the country from allies.

Fuck, I didn't think Homs was that bad. Guess I missed a most of the pre-ISIS war though. Oh well, suppose it'll be funny to see this US/Israeli/Saudi proxy war potentially turn Syria into an economically much stronger country in the long-term if the reconstruction is done properly.
I'd expect Iran will take full advantage to get as much done as possible while also using it as the excuse for repopulating as much of the restored territory as possible with Shia migrants and settlers to boost the current minorities to part of a sectarian pluarality with a weak or no Sunni majority left. To think a re-built Homs or even Aleppo with enough investment might become the western capital of their Shia Crescent.

So is America still backing isis? Have Russians and Americans battled?
Jaxson Carter

Connor Ortiz
For a decade at least, but if their allies come up with a Marshall Plan-tier scheme for reconstruction then they could bounce back an even strong economy than before after that initial decade or two.
Still, likely to be a free-for-all with Syria's oil, gas and other natural resources though in exchange for that. Wouldn't surprise me if even the Chinese get involved with reconstruction for a share of the natural resources.
William Torres

They used to, most of times no one will acknowledge that. Last time US advisers were caught during the siege of Aleppo, they were surrounded and acknowledged they are US (and turkish) advisors in order not to get killed like a generic jihadi. Kill one or capture one alive is rather complicated.
