1. Yes, she made a mistake letting all the illegals in, but how was she supposed to keep them out of Germany when we are in the Schengen zone?
2. Merkel freely admitted several times that the migrant crisis of 2015 was a wake up call and can never be repeated.
3. It was Merkel who closed down the Turkey-Greece route by pressuring Greece to not shuttle illegals from the Greek islands to the EU mainland.
4. It is Merkel who is providing money, training and boats to the Libyan coast guard so they can "rescue" migrants on boats and bring them back to Libya.
Who else in Europe is doing so much to keep Europe safe? Who else?

>1. Yes, she made a mistake letting all the illegals in, but how was she supposed to keep them out of Germany when we are in the Schengen zone? Order to seal Schengen zone borders instead of crying when Hungarians did it out of their own initiative. >2. Merkel freely admitted several times that the migrant crisis of 2015 was a wake up call and can never be repeated. She never said she's going to gas/hang/deport the newcomers though which is what should happen if she wants to rectify her mistake. >3. It was Merkel who closed down the Turkey-Greece route by pressuring Greece to not shuttle illegals from the Greek islands to the EU mainland. One wonders if the route wouldn't be closed whole the time had South European navies been ordered to sink refugee boats on sight instead of helping them reach the shore. >4. It is Merkel who is providing money, training and boats to the Libyan coast guard so they can "rescue" migrants on boats and bring them back to Libya. And these are eurocrats who listen to her who don't make 3 happen.

Tell that to Hungary and Greece which illegally let in 1.2 million people into the Schengen zone. Both these countries are at the outer Schengen zone and were supposed to make sure the illegals do not come to the EU ... OR if they come there, hold them and process their applications (which under EU law all need to be rejected, because Turkey is safe).
Dominic King
Merkel is a weak leader. Anyone would have pulled the troops out of Turkey after they denied access to the camp, closed the borders and put the Turkey deal to a rest. It's not conceivable that someone makes such a number of stupid decisions in a row and not to assume malignity.
Now she's inviting Obongo to speak in Berlin again. For what? A reward that he gave her some silly medal? I don't think there is a deeper thought behind that. However, I have to say it's impressive how she could change her position on the fugees in not even 1 year and nobody thinks of her as a less credibe. Seems everybody knows that she holds no convictions and just goes with it.

Yeah, bitching about >muh yuman ritez is not what we need right now. Her """strength""" she's wielding in Europe is because we are carrying all the burdens she puts on our shoulders for her half-baked political decisions.
