a woman (or a man) can be raped and lose their virginity while conscious or very young and have no recollection of it - physically, they are not virgins (by your reasoning) yet there is very little to no (especially with the man) evidence of virginity loss and these people still have the experience of the first time they have sex to come in the future. also it's ridiculous to consider gay people (with no experience of the opposite sex) to be virginal in any sense when they have years of sexual experience behind them.
'loss of virginity' is and always has been a bad term for it. for woman, they have something precious they are in danger of losing; for men, they have a burden they must give away before manhood. it's all stupidity. loss of virginity is about gaining knowledge of sex and intimacy, nothing more.
