I really didn't know Indians were so dumb. Let me break it down in steps for you.

1) Before, there were more traditional, baby-having women (majority).

2) Now, there has been an increase in "modern" women.

3) That means, there are equally (more or less, I'm not dealing with exact numbers here) as many of both types.

4) This increase, having caused approximate number equality, still means a negative rate, because due to the increase in numbers, the rate has decreased.

Women THINK they dont want children, or think they want children late (30 or after) because there is massive pressure on them to go to college and have a successful career. Also there is massive imagery in modern media depicting children as nothing but little bloodsuckers who will ruin your life of debauchery.

The sad thing is, none of that is true. Careers suck. They do. Putting off building a happy family for the sake of being a miserable slave is madness. Jordan Peterson goes into this pretty well. A ton of his clients are successful Toronto and Boston women around 30-35, who are just now coming to the conclusion that they have fucked up massively and put emphasis on the wrong things.

Pregnancy is goddamn terrifying once you get over the whole miracle-of-birth thing. We've got a family friend whose wife pretty much went permanently nuts from PPD, which naturally led to a fair amount of JUST on his part.
