monarch controls the function of the state according to the constitution and protects libertarian policies and ideals in the nation, thats the basic premise
with no need to appease idiot masses, and an education specially for the future monarch with no way to jew in on power, there's almost no risk of corruption, some things may need to be taxed for the sake of keeping that institution together, but the tax would be miniscule (think 1-2%) and technically optional
in the meantime people are free to act and think whatever they please in the land they own, military costs are down because protecting libertarian ideals means people will strongly desire to join militias

The problem I have with monarchy is that its a dice roll. You can just get unlucky and get a terrible king that fucks everything up. An elective monarchy isn't a good solution either because if you look at the Poland with their elective monarchy they just fell pray to international powers and signed half the country away to the Haps(((burgs))). So I'm not entirely sure what the answer is. Plus, who gets to decide who is the original monarch? I think strong hierarchy is necessary to guarantee freedom but the mechanism that puts people into the top of those hierarchies has to be more than arbitrary or random.
OK so how does a country like that get started, given you don't initially have a royal line? Also I worry about the training bit - I mean look at Charles, all the best schools etc and the man's a drooling libtard.

Yes I agree you can condition a king to be a good king but there is a human element. People are not just the make up of their environment. You get a shitty king because you lost the genetic lottery that you're playing with you're country and you're fucked. Maybe its more stable than democracy but democracy is such a shaky system that I don't think that should be seen as much an achievement. I'm a bit more sympathetic to meritocracy based system of fascism for the central government that is bureaucratic, small, and guarantees a certain number of rights for its citizens. Now a system like that is dangerous because it is predicated on a certain set of ideas and if those ideas are contaminated by intellectual pathogens like leftism then the entire system has the capability to turn tyrannical.
I don't hate the idea of micro state confederations that are bound together by common currency and military alliance but leave the day to day running of those areas to the local populations. More autonomy seems to be a good thing for freedom so long as it does not generate conflict between other micro states within the confederacy.

Well my answer was specifically in the context of regional 'nobility', implying each area basically has one person in charge - some sort of lord etc. The problem with this approach (as history shows) is that competition for these posts often consumes society - or they are hereditary, which brings a whole slew of new problems. But a series of semi-autonomous states or micronations may be what ancap would look like, with covenants - although ,of course, no govt at all.

If you're curious about monarchy as a path to libertarianism, read Hoppe's comments in his book Democracy. He explains how monarchy degenerated first from Feudal kings, then to absolute kings and finally to constitutional or ceremonial kings.
