>The ground-based interceptor launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California shortly after 3:30 p.m. EST Tuesday. The U.S. will launch an ICBM-class target from the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site on Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands, 4,200 miles away. If successful, the kill vehicle, or intercept, will collide with the ICBM test target midcourse over the Pacific Ocean later today.
> Moments ago, it was confirmed that the test was a success.
The United States of America now has the ability to shoot down Russian, Chinese, North Korean, and Iranian ICBMs.
It feels good being the best.
Justin Watson
It was cloudy here but normally I can see Vandenberg launches, pretty cool stuff.
William Roberts
Well, this test confirmed that we can attack ballistic missiles on the boost phase. It's a great advancement but we will eventually have to develop systems to defend against the warheads as well, that's where things get tricky.
But if you can attack the missile on boost you don't have to worry about shooting down 6-12 warheads and a couple dozen decoys, so it's a great start.
Sebastian Diaz
don't forget to gift the technology to Israel ASAP you ungrateful goym
Gavin Reed
It's Revolutionary. Now that we know we can do it, we can perfect it and only make it better.
This gives us a major advantage over every other nation on earth.
Xavier Peterson
They probably helped us make it, haha. Those Kikes are smart.
Carter Bell
Anything you inferior nations want to say to us mighty Americans while we are in a good mood?
Jonathan Parker
> (Reuters) - The U.S. military said on Tuesday it had staged a successful, first-ever missile defense test involving a simulated attack by an intercontinental ballistic missile, as concerns mount over North Korea's advancing missile and nuclear program.
> "The intercept of a complex, threat-representative ICBM target is an incredible accomplishment ... a critical milestone for this program," Vice Admiral Jim Syring, the director of the Missile Defense Agency, said in a statement.
They are too chicken shit to admit we are better than them.
Cooper Bell
So let's say we get a 10 year window where we'd escape the normal pitfalls of a MAD situation akin to being able to "win" a large thermonuclear exchange? What then? Do we just combine forces with Russia to delete china? holocaust asians? Would anyone even care if we did? Who would miss the orientals?
And before you think i'm crazy or larping - when the eventual worldwide nuclear war happens and both sides (or all 3) are rendered uninhabitable and humanity faces an extinction event - wouldn't it have just been better to choose for White/European/Slavic races to win instead of everybody dying? This planet isn't big enough for all the current races and we know that this will happen. So why not take bold action when this becomes viable?
Brandon Sullivan
AMERICA STRONK
Ryan Hernandez
>only Americans and a Mexican in this thread
LOOK UPON US AND DESPAIR, IRRELEVANT "COUNTRIES"
Mason Hughes
I cannot even begin to stress how hard it is to intercept an ICBM. Many compare it to threading a needle 10,000 feet in the air.
Never felt so patriotic before.
Dominic Gutierrez
I doubt we could ever convince Russia or China to side with us and go against the other. Both nations realize that without one another, the US would be able to have complete global dominance, even more so than we already do.
Also no one wants nuclear war except Kim. China and Russia don't want it because they know it's a suicide mission. So I would be surprised of China stepped up and took control of DPRK and delt with Kim because if not, we will.
Sebastian Richardson
I've never... FELT POWER LIKE THIS BEFORE!
Sebastian Miller
> Revolutionary?
Not really the first "known" public test was in 2009
Luis Russell
Exactly. That's why this is such a big deal. The fact that we have the capability to do something like that is just one of many examples of American superiority.
Chase Parker
So you'd just ignore the brief window of opportunity? Imagine if america had acted against the soviets in china/ussr in '45 with an offensive nuclear war... we would have a white world right now.
This is a once in a generation advantage we should capitalize on.
Elijah Myers
What are you talking about retard? This is the first time we had a successful attempt at intercepting an ICBM.
Bentley Perry
I'm really curious to know what the next one will be.
Nolan Martinez
I agree that we should have nuked all the suspected enemies when we first developed the nuke. We should have hit China, Russia, and every single place that would cause us trouble. We could have completely taken over the world at that point.
Jonathan Sullivan

Ryder Jenkins
We've been testing systems along these lines for decades now user, Star Wars and all that, it's real and has gone from ideas to prototypes and hopefully now they will refine and perfect this system.
Easton Watson
MacArthur would have done it, he tried to convince them, but FDR was a big fucking commie lover.
Henry Green
I don't believe it
Colton Myers
yeah totally should have caused a nuclear winter. that would have showed everyone who was in charge.
Christian Sanchez
Church Hill also wanted to go into Russia because he knew that they would be a problem and he was right. But he was also removed from power.
General Paton also wanted to deal with the commies and was killed for it because the deep state back then didnt want another war
Camden Watson
Rest of the world BTFO
We can now nuke China with impunity.
Christian Cruz
Because you're a fag.
Kevin Brown
No nation in human history has ever held an advantage so great before or since. What a disappointment.
Asher Turner
No you retard. Nuking a few cities would not cause a fucking nuclear winter...
Jacob Baker
Can this shoot down the upcoming russian Satan II ICBMs? I have no doubt it can take down nork fireworks but that russian thing does 25k km/hr or something like that and can carry many decoys and warheads.
Also wouldnt destroying one midair create an EMP or couldnt they detonate it in case interception is inminent?
Lincoln Brown
Yeah. It was a missed opportunity but there were some that wanted it to happen
Daniel Barnes
>shine in the night >test took place during the day Why has Sup Forums become /x/?
Henry Adams
>a few cities >all our enemies seems legit
Owen Garcia
>you're now aware that over 2,000 nuclear weapons have already been detonated on this planet
Brayden Jackson
>Also wouldnt destroying one midair create an EMP or couldnt they detonate it in case interception is inminent? A Mexican intellectual.
Eli Ward
It gives us the ability to do it. Of course within the coming years with will be perfected and our missile defense system will be the most superior on the planet.
This is a really fucking big deal. China and Russia were watching the live feed and they know exactly how bad it is for them.
Zachary Adams
Do you realize how many nukes we've already detonated?
David Lewis
> STFU you LARPing shill
In the 1950s, a series of anti-aircraft missiles were developed as part of Project Nike. The latest in the series, Nike-Zeus, offered extremely long-range interception and very high performance. In the late 1950s, the program investigated the use of Nike-Zeus missiles as interceptors against Soviet ICBMs. A Nike warhead would be detonated at high altitudes (over 100km, or 60 statute miles) above the polar regions in the near vicinity of an incoming Soviet missile.
Once we perfect this anti missile technology it's pretty much game over, right? We win.
Grayson Powell
This is not a new capability you idiot
Good luck hitting a Topol anyway, the test was only a practice against a crude nork ICBM.
Easton Perez
Yeah, the soviets had lost like nearly a third of their population. They never would have been able to put up a real fight.
Caleb Hill
Yes
Nathaniel Reyes
It's a capability that none of you fucking pathetic cucks have.
> W-w-well goodluck!
Its better to have this ability than none at all like you faggots. You would be glassed.
Connor Martinez
I'm sure they do...this all is old fucking news. We have shit so far beyond this its not even funny. Basically what the US really has is around 30 years ahead of what is publicly known
Christopher Williams

It's always night time somewhere in the world.

> None of this matters because we have spooky UFO arrowplanes!
nuclear winter occurs when the sum total of all Black Carbon in the atmosphere blocks the sun.
For instance the Icelandic Volcano that shut down European air traffic for a week was 0.5Tg of BC. Mount Saint Helen eruption was around 10Tg of BC. An exchange of 4,000 nukes of megaton variety would end crop production for a few decades probably-or at least shorten the growing season in places like iowa/eurasia wheat harvests to say a single month. It'd be devastating.
Shortly before they offed Patton he said he thought he'd fought for the wrong side.
Luis Harris
May 30, 2017. The day the mutually assured destruction doctrine died.
Dangerous times the next few years.

>What is NEMP
Jordan Rogers
Patton was killed because he named the Jews. Lots of people wanted war. MacArthur wanted to nuke China, but since he didnt finger schlomo, he was just sidelined, and allowed to fade away with a whimper.
Adam Parker
Also read about the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty that was signed in 1972 the limitation of the anti-ballistic missile (ABM) systems used in defending areas against ballistic missile-delivered nuclear weapons.
That means a war is coming too. If we have a big dick to swing and other nations want to chop it off we better act fast.
Justin Powell
>NEMP When you destroy an ICBM, it doesn't cause a nuclear explosion. That is what you are trying to avoid by destroying them with extreme speeds that disintegrate the rocket.
Alexander Kelly
Nuclear winter is a fucking meme spread by the Russians during the Cold War, faggot
Julian Cooper
where are the proofs!?
Chase Parker
>implying a global nuclear war isn't the only solution to global warming.
Easton Jackson
RS-28 is made specifically to avoid ballistic missile defenses like these, and can alter its trajectory mid-course. This means that by the time the mobility scooter cowboy has managed to get the thin part of his least fat finger in between the trigger and guard of the revolver in order to fire it, and fired off a kill-shot, it's no longer where he aimed.
John Cruz
It's time to FUCK China. The news that they're loaded with debt is a perfect opportunity. Weaponize the major US banks to crash their economy, and if they try to keep order among their population by going to war with us we can shoot down their nukes. AMERICA STRONG.
Tyler Lee
That was the Syrian missile strike that didn't kill nobody, ya dingus.

It cant stop meteors that have been aimed using robotic rockets mounted on zero G mass asteroids from the belt.
Robert Lewis
Ok but can't it be detonated in advance? I guess most of its functioning is automated but if it were equipped with radars and other stuff and sensed it was about to be blown up, why wouldnt they do it? Once its fired it means all out destruction, nothing to lose by trying. Assuming it got close enough to cause some damage of course.
Gavin Butler
Another technology that only the U.S. has weaponized.
Fuck diplomacy. We should just openly start forcing countries to submit to our will and level those who oppose it. There's nothing they can do anymore.
Ryan Hill
Yeah I know about these systems, pretty cool desu. They're operational as well now.
Still lasers are shitty compared to particle weapons, you can reflect a laser or disperse the effect with an ablative coating.
Dylan Wright
They would all gang up and kill us all, just like they did Germany. Go back to t_d
Ryder Cruz
I like you.
Go work for the pentagon.
Michael Gonzalez
Because an interception strike is undetectable unlike an ICBM launch and an interception is a tiny object moving at a super high speed.
Blake Cooper
US withdrew from that in 2002 though. I wonder why the Russians feel threatened.
