Any and all attempts at regulating food industry etc. were shot down by congress, due to billions of dollars spent on "lobbyists".

Furthermore lack of quality public education, a complete and total program of distractions (entertainment/sports) and extremely cheap and readily available garbage fast food all contribute the decline of the 60s American dream.

Not to mention the boomer generation allowing for any capable man to work for 2 years and buy a house for his non-slut wife (when the pill hadnt been invented).

Dont forget the GFC in 2008, 9/11, 2 illegal wars and total media distraction of real issues,

All factors in the decline of the US.
