Yeah the hatred is largely manufactured from the top down. Trump's interfering with someone's, many people for various reasons, plans. They usually don't want those plans made full known so they end up trying to make Trump look bad on more relatable to the normie-masses terms. Even if they just have to make stuff up, they need people to hate him because he's not doing what THEY want.
So instead of admitting their using "climate" buzzphrases to line their pockets, they have to say "TRUMP IS ENDANDERING THE WHOLE PLANET!" that one sounds more compelling.
