Is the East China Sea or South China Sea more of a hotspot these days? Media only says chinks are in the wrong but not what it means on a wider scale, are they actually important areas or are they literally nothing?

I highly doubt that a few small islands in the china sea will start anything big.

Lots of international trade goes through the areas. The commie (((Chinese))) want it as their territory, and therfore control the trade.

South China sea? What's in the east China sea?

Gas, oil, fishing rights, international trade, territorial pride, tradition, military investment.

The south China sea is how we know China is divided, their military started bulding this because they don't give a fuck about war. Plenty of other people in China would probably lose everything in a war, so they don't want war. China is internally divided, some politicians have military connections and others have economic connections.

If we fought now, we'd win but both sides would suffer losses. Australia is close enough to be nuked on the sly and most likely to benefit from such a war by nationalizing Chinese owned property, which knowing that the Chinese probably know this I don't want war because they'd rather nuke Melbourne then letting the Australian people own their property again.

It's more than that.

Vancouver is filled with Chinese landbankers who've never stepped foot in your country. If you you're noticing house prices get to the millions you've also been targeted by Chinese economic predation.

East China Sea has the Senkakus where both the chinks and the japs are claiming ownership of the islands, basically China trying to project power and still being mad at Japan for ww2

There's gas there, but not much else. Besides, both countries are industrialised enough to come to agreements, maybe an energy company that operates in both countries and can be taxed equally by both?

Otherwise, the south China sea has 8 countries to sort out claims with, 5 of which have fairly legitimate claims. This situation isn't as bad as what the middle east really is, but it's still a high likelihood of unpleasantness.

What would be swell would be if China relinquishes real sovereignty but is cool just policing the region for pirates. Because the Americans are already doing that, they'll need to be butt buddies with the Americans, which is a little too optimistic.

Malaysia, Vietnam, Brunei and Philippines have territorial claims. China will get fucked royally in a war, South East Asia, NATO & Allies and India are likely to destroy China instantly.

says ladyboy69

in terms of resources, it's nearly nothing
until china starts stopping rights of travel, it remains nothing (hot war if that happens)
complicated by the flips, who raised the issue and got a (albeit low power) international court to rule in its favour, only to dump it when offered sweet sweet chink $

I thought it was an official ruling that China doesn't own the islands which is why they flipped out so hard last year? Is it actually not legally binding?

China got btfo by the ruling which definitively says the SCS isn't Chinese land/sea. It instead said the area belongs to a couple of the countries at the center of the argument.

This is legally binding hence why that jungle monkey Duterte is chimping out, he knows he's in a valuable position so he is now playing both sides to benefit his country.

The rest of the countries that got a favourable outcome from the ruling are already us allied.

Chinese here, it won't come to war, it's just the neocons yelling about war just like they yell about Russia and Iran. It'll only get hot if the faggot Deep State rigs it like they did Vietnam, but I think the population has had enough of war anywhere.

Besides, we'll win. Peacefully, but we'll win. ;)

it's legally binding, but using an analogy, it's like the district court of international courts, there are a lot of room for appeals
also, duterte ignored it and just said build whatever, i got your (china) investments and jobs

Chinese need the sea so they can fish to feed their population.

>we'll win
>the chink actually believes this

I thought Chinese needed the paid Sup Forums account to post here?

I can't see war not coming in the next 15-20 years because the west is also reaching a tipping point with all the enforced left wing SJW bullshit

the thing is also that the most relevant and idustrial area in china are around the coastline. They want to push americans off the islands nearby china and establish a ring defense on islands to protect the shipping lines and their most sensitive regions. Americans see this comming and want to stay there to keep chinks in check.

Spratly islands for one

That's all true, but think about motives. Who would the Chinese protect the shipping lines from? Not the Americans! And the Americans know this.

Pirates, Czechia. There be pirates in thar south east waters.

Chinese people haven't figured out how to access the Google DNS.

China's still working on a blue water navy so they can't project power into the oceans just yet, would trying to get control over islands be their precursor to it?

Vietnam and the flips should split the islands, that's the fair solution based on geography. But of course China has the 'might makes right' thing. The mudslimes can fuck right off.

Viet/flip split would be good but the chinks will probably never stop going on about muh history and muh rights so it will never happen, yeah

>The mudslimes can fuck right off
You're also forgetting that the international organisations aren't pol

You do realize the whole enforced left wing SJW bullshit is simply white people doing what white people having been doing against each other for centuries right?

Using all available tools at hand, making sure other white people know how much better they are compared to others.

Last time, they use religion and how tightly you follow the political dogma as a point of pride and arrogance. Now, its this.
It's never stop and will never come to a head no matter how you want it to be since, regardless of what kind of topic they or you use.

How's Chengdu?

Steve Jobs recognized this and make a hell of a fortune out of abusing this retarded behavior.
