Sure many people are going to loose jobs over automation.
However the limiting factor to their speed is processing speed as well as the people that design and create these integrated circuits. At least for a while, the research and the complexity required to design and ultimately output a processor can only be done by a team of humans. Sure this MAY change but that can only change so long as processor speeds continue to increase.

In the next 5 years or so we will reach the smallest possible size to construct silicon based transistors which means possible stagnation in the speeds.
Sure there is a lot of potential in other alternatives for transistors but there are issues all of those that must be overcome first. People are currently working on those but ultimately anything to do with technology or computers depends on the increasing speed of integrated circuits.

Before you tell me "autonomous algothrims will be good at research and finding solutions" you have to explain to me how. You can't take an AI that spits out text-to-speach and give it new commands to look through research or conduct experiments to find a solution.

I have no doubt that this will be possible in the future but I think a 30 year timeline is unrealistic.

Also I might add that universal income will not prevent an AI take over and will create more lasy and useless humans that simply won't be competitive. The answer for humans to remain useful is in other fields such as genetic manipulation, cybernetics and others. These fields won't progress if there is nothing to drive them and communism will not drive those fields, it will only be driven by capitalism.
