So what are the odds of me getting an interview from a place that asks these kinds of questions? There was a paragraph before this talking about how diversity is very important, so am I fucked?

Every corporate job asks those, even in the US. We don't have the Aboriginal check though, it's under "Race".

Here in Canada if you check the aboriginal box its almost a guarantee that you'll get the job as long as you qualify.

Technically and by it is optional and I always choose "Decline to self-identify" on all of them, but I suspect this plays a big part in me not getting any call backs from those jobs. But if I was gonna be passed over for a dindu to fill their diversity quotas then I don't give a fuck about working there anyway.

You really should fill them out honestly. The HR chick I got at my company filters through them at the start before any real managers get a look, and she flags a ton for issues. Not giving your race, disability, or veteran status are top disqualifiers after the "are you a felon" question.

I'd say fairly high if your education or experience match up to what they're looking for. I can't speak for Canada but in the US affirmative action is vastly overblown. When it comes to jobs that require meaningful professional credentials, most employers know the truth about race. There may be one token minority present but they're kept within teams where they can lean on other employees. Essentially they only ask those questions you've posted because they're looking for a diamond in the rough. They're pessimistic about their chances of finding this kind of person but they like to ask.

It would be better to avoid those generic job application forms and email a hiring manager or non-HR person directly. Ironically that's how I got my first job, a friend's father gave me the email of the VP of the company so I skipped over HR.

In the States they are not allowed to link demographic information to your application. I guess they can do that in Canada though

Ironically I just moved back to Murrica after this many years because I had it up to here with the shitty Bong weather. This is Canada and Im applying for white collar administrative office jobs and customer service type jobs. Dropping red pills in an interview would probably get you escorted out the building.

It might work for blue collar jobs though since people of color do not work in trades or any form of manual labour.
