You're seriously underestimating how big a deal this is. All the polls were against him. Most of his own MPs had no confidence in him. He was designated a terrorist sympathiser by mainstream media. His manifesto was the new longest suicide note in history. He was the end of the Labour party and to be written into the history books as gifting the Tories an elective dictatorship.
In spite of all this, he took Tory safe seats, he took 40% of the vote, he mobilised the youth vote that he was supposedly wasting his time on. Now look at the situation if there was another election. The criticism of him being unelectable doesn't hold up, the smears did not work and he can now run a better campaign than before. One where he doesn't have to avoid marginals because Blairites MPs think he turns away voters. One where youth will only get more involved. One where gaining seats in Scotland is a serious prospect.
