There are two turns. You need at least 12,5% of the registered voters to go to the second turn. If there is only one, the second candidate still go. 50% of the votes + a minimum of 12,5% of the registered voters is needed to win in one round.

What does that mean ? To go the second round, you need at least 12,5% of the registered voters, but with 50% participation, it's 25%. So not so much three-ways 2nd turn, probably few very or none four-ways.

I think Macron is going to go the way of Hollande: swept in on a wave of trust-in-change, but voters will become disillusioned quickly when it turns out he's not the social and political miracle worker that they thought he was - that the change he said he'd bring is really impressive.
Then it's three or four years of bitterness, cynicism and occasional rioting, and then a new election. But now, the establishment has been wiped out, which is a fairly unique thing, so when Macron's movement collapses under the weight of its own initial success and then several years of abject failure to change the country for the better, there will be a power vacuum.
