Cornwall has never voted Labour. I don't know if it is to do with the religious non-conformist/conformist culture maintaining the Liberals and keeping Labour out of the picture but I hoped Labour would start making inroads in areas. They took Plymouth back and in some places got almost the same voteshare as the Libdems so I'm hoping the takeover is starting.
The young can possibly do it but local candidates will struggle as being a racist is one of the main benchmarks for becoming elected there.

Talked with a Catholic friend who said his priest keeps ranting about Polish Catholics.
Apparently the English Catholic Church was very happy about the influx of Poles and assumed they would join the declining local parishes, revitalise them and keep many churches from shutting down.
Instead the Poles have formed their own parishes (apparently they've the right to do so them since WW2), which operate in the UK on a "missionary" basis and are subject to bishops back in Poland rather than the English Catholic hierarchy.
So the latter are still declining and the Poles are taking over more and more churches.

I'm a bit drunk. Why am I looking at the labour discord chat?
Finally sprung for a Chinese munch box tonight, lads.
The verdict? Avoid.
Putting the salt and pepper chips in with everything just means the seasoning coats everything else making it overly salty and peppery. It's not very appetising at all.
Stick to the normal kebab munchy boxes is my advice.

Obviously a convenient leak by Boris. I'm guessing he has a long term plan and doesn't want anyone making a move on the leadership before then.
The left mobilised young voters by giving tuition fee gibs.
Memes don't get people voting without having something to vote for.
They're just too stupid to realise it has to be paid for somehow.

Corbyn has been fucking insufferable since Thursday. Who gets smug about a defeat? He's obviously got no interest in being PM.
David Morgan
Anyone who is outward looking can see that British workers are some of the most unproductive. The problem is that the Conservatives "method" of improving this by worsening conditions and pay clearly hasn't worked!
I can't see Elitist values such as "hard work" being the remedy to the underclasses problems cutting it in the next decade. That is the crisis the Tories are facing. Although I'm sure you see my socialist values as discredited and unworthy.

I'm not even joking when I say start looking at some of the shit you're going to be doing in uni. There is no better feeling in the world than actually knowing shit going into an exam and putting some work in now, even a small amount will pay off big ten months or so

Corbyn is just another Blair.
A lot of these youngsters who are talking about him like he's the second coming are too young to remember the 1997 election - if they were even alive back.
Imagine all the endless hype and platitudes surrounding Corbyn right now but multiply it tenfold. That's what it was like for Blair. Not only did Blair restore pride and passion in Labour voters after years of Tory rule like Corbyn has done, but he also reached out to Tory voters and won them over too. A charismatic left wing politician promising change, and telling us that things will be different (and that they can ONLY GET BETTER!)
And then we knew what happened next.
Corbyn, like Blair, is just a demagogue who knows what young lefties want to hear. If he becomes PM, he will jump into bed with the Saudis and Israelis first chance he gets. He'll also cosy up to Trump (that'll make him "based" on here but that's not the point).
He's not this I'M NOT A PART OF YOUR SYSTEM tier populist, he's another opportunist who just happens to be more aware of what the youth want.
Shame on the older Corbynistas who should know better though.
Cooper Perez
Of course. They strike down EU laws frequently.
Where are you getting the impression that they're afraid to do so?
Also they're an institution of the EU, how can they "turn against the EU"? It's like asking if the US Supreme Court ever turns against the US. They rule against the European Commission frequently anyway.
Xavier Martinez
In fairness, he didn't win win, but he is winning at losing while the Tories are losing despite winning. He's flipped the tables on them and Mays marginal victory may be short lived and result in the Tories actual defeat and Corbyns actual literal victory.

Labour are generally not well-liked in the south west. A lot of people think the tories are way too left wing but vote for them anyway just to make sure Labour don't win. Labour have never given a shit about rural poverty so even the poor people don't like them. The massive amount of internal migration to the west is the only reason Labour have ever had any chance there generally. Only Bristol and a couple of other more urban areas ever usually vote Labour. Labour don't even try to win votes in most of the south west. I've literally never had a Labour leaflet through my door. Honestly never, and I'm in my thirties. A DUP style party would do well in the south west if we weren't so afraid of splitting the vote. Same reason UKIP, BNP, English Democrats, etc. never did that well round here except in the European elections - we don't want to split the vote. But if the Tories do keep moving to the left indefinitely then fuck knows what we'll do tbqh.
Camden Edwards
She's not actually singing nigger music, it's the German dude that is.

There's periods when I tell myself to just do it and I set a routine, I just can't keep to it and the cycle of apathy gets worse
