Like you, I typically vote republican (but identify as an independent), love my guns, and have zero interest in welfare. I'm 28, have established in a career and have a pretty decent life other than the fact that I'm the last person left alive in my family (not counting my finacee).
I then realized that I was bisexual and liked the aesthetic that goes with being a woman - colors, makeup, etc. And upon realizing that, I lost interest in it. Now I date women but accept that I'd be open to a man if the situation were right, and dress fashion-forward but steadfastly male.
