Trans people are protected by the same laws that protect everyone else. They do not require special treatment because of their mental problems.

This bill HARMS trans people because it says that sexual orientation and identity are subjective and can be changed on a whim. This contradicts the argument that being transexual is an immutable characteristic that cannot be changed. It also harms the rest of the LGBT community.

So for instance, you can't deny a qualified individual a job or housing just because xir is a tranny. These protections already mostly existed under blanket human rights legislation, but tranny rights groups wanted to get added to the list because having their group explicitly mentioned in statute makes litigation less complicated and easier to prosecute

The whole pronouns thing is probably one of the only problems that doesn't actually exist. What you're all concerned about is hate speech legislation and Harper rightly ripped a lot of that to shreds back in 2013
