The Rise of the Right in Europe

What does Sup Forums think of the recent (last 5 years) surge in popularity of right-wing parties in Europe?

A couple of interesting cases are that of Germany and Sweden.

Any Euros from a country going through this that can give their opinion as someone living in it?

Also, I wrote an analysis of the situation if someone isn't too familiar with what's going on.

Where's Polands figure user that should be the benchmark all are striving for.

>UKIP
>Far Right
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA- HAHAHAHA

By the way they got 1.8% of the vote this year

>UKIP
>"Far right"
This meme needs to end.
>surge in popularity of right-wing parties in Europe?
Honestly, it won't last. Right now it's just a reaction to the Eurozone and migrant crises. Once they're resolved you can expect the vote to diminish.

Clawing its way out: Sweeden, Finland
Good: Poland, Hungary, Czech, Switzerland
Unknown: Austria
Dead: the rest

The European Parliament elections are meme elections to send all the local edgelords from meme parties in exile to Brussels.

Just look at UKIPs and FNs performance in national elections. UKIP is a single issue party that's mostly dead by now. Le Pen has a similar fate.

>AFD
>FPÖ
>"Far right"

For lack of a better term I use far-right to describe parties like AfD and Sweden Democrats because idk what else I would call them.

Also, I wouldn't really include the UK in this group, as we can see from their recent election.

>UKIP
>far right
This meme again

...

I hope we make it, but Austrians are retarded drunks who will vote for anybody as long as gibs are promised. They have no long term memory.

Unfortunately, tea-mate, there is no such thing as "right wing rise" in Poland. Current goverment isn't even right wing.

>UKIP
>Far Right
You disgust me

>idk what else I would call them.
>RIght wing
>Anti establishment
>Anti consensus
>Same share of the vote as the SNP
>Still no seats

Plus this "scandal" about some 100000 Turks with illegal Austrian dual citizenship voting has vanished into thin air. At least I didn't hear about any mass deportations - so that's a big chunk of votes for the Reds.

Even though it's somewhat coming along fine for now, it's nowhere near enough yet. On top of that I have a suspicion, that DF might actually lose some points in th enext election.

>"persus"

"Far Right" Europeans would be called moderate liberals in America. They're fucked

SD used to have meetings were people wore swastikas on their sleeves. Now they're going to be our largest party in 2018. Call them what you want.

Haven't they softened a lot of their positions to get to where they are today?

>tfw mentioned with all these rich first world countries

Yes and no. Far right europeans are national socialists, effectively. They are economically centrist to center left, but socially far right.

Yes they had to kick a lot of members from their national socialist past, but there are still several people with the same background and Jimmie Åkesson joined when they still had that reputation. There are still lots of unironic natsoc in SD for sure that have to hide their powerlevel in front of the media
