Current or former military members get in here

As a veteran coast guard O2 lieutenant, i consider myself fortunate to have served citizens of this country for my duration in the service.
I invite any veteran or military member to join in a discussion about their service, opinions on current happening.

I read this out loud to my boyfriend and he was like ohhhhh

Fuck off, cannonfoddercuck.

Actually spent time in kiel on a 3 week trip to your Bundesmarine to observe your maritime security school. You germans are remarkably sloppy, and rude.

I feel another lawsuit coming up.

OIF 12B vet. Train your kids with weapons And basic survival skills anything less than doing so is faggotry

Former navy here scrambling to get back in. a US gunboat is the only place you can be truly safe these days

former psyops here. i went nuts and make memes now.

#Draftmywife

Its ok Hans Mohammed Sheklestein. At least your country tried to be great once

cheeky bantz itt

We all serve here
But it's treason to talk about what I did
We don't got a blabber mouth military, can't even tell my relatives. Can only say aprox where I was.

I have a cousin who did classified stuff as well. The only thing she told me was she dealt with terrorists in Afghanistan, but couldn't say more.

That sounds like what a POG would say.

A corporate jew here.
Just want to thank all the US army men fighting and dying for the right cause

Fuck off ahmed

Well now terrorists know how to destroy American naval vessels... hide a bomb in slow moving, huge cargo vessels, for some reason American military vessels are unable to see them

didn't we lose 4 because an eva unit was doing a uturn in the water

It doesn't just cover these things, I'm not sure about all fractions, but in general it's a nono to speak. If military papers would go with your person outside here or iceland, jailtime.

I can say I also actually come from a mil family, because they are retired. I hate this shit tbqh. Never taking a job where you have to go
>Dad what do you do at work?
Daddy can't speak about these things.

Not for me mate, I had that growing up actually at our "langley" if you will, it's grown so the house is inside even now. But now I must hold my tongue.

Thank you for your service! My son recently made Staff Sergeant. Rigger from the 82nd Airborne. He's not stopping there. He's in it for life.

I don't know much about the Coast Guard.
Q: If needed can you be re-called back into duty?

Do you regret fighting for ((their)) interests?

>Not for me mate, I had that growing up actually at our "langley"

FOH Reitan (LDKN)?
FOHK Jåttå?
Kolsås?
Sentralanlegget i Hole kommune?

What is the norwegian equivalent of Langley?

E5 navy, get the fuck out of here coastie faggot. You're not real military.

>O2
>LT
Nice try, better luck next time kiddo

...

spent 3 weeks in londonistan. It was hell barely made it out alive !

civilian general here.. been under contract since 1990

>LT same as LTJG
What a cute JO, you get kicked out because you couldn't get your underway OOD qual?

Hope he dies in a useless kile war

Im enlisting into the CG this fall, once i get through MEPS I hope to get sent out to D1 and eventually work on fixed wing/helos.

I'm 30 and hate my sales job, I'd much rather do something with my hands, get my masters degree for free and save some lives.

Fuck going over seas, those guys are chumps

Retired E-7 Coastie. Our recruiters used to send the niggers, spics, and fags that couldn't score high enough on the ASVAB to your recruiters. feelsgoodman.jpg

Tits or gtfo unless gay lovers then just gtfo

...

>Lieutenant Espinoza
>Not Mr. Esponoza
Wew lad, we got a real badass here. Definitely "served" in the cg and didn't just google some bullshit to troll.

holy shit
I think i just swallowed another redpill.

What was your rate? I really want to do some aviation stuff, but I also am looking at MK.

I want real world training, healthcare, and GI Bill . When I get out I want to be able to actually DO something.

German Navy reporting in

fpbp

go back to freds place faggot

"so others may live"

EM is a pretty good rate if you're looking to get out, they have a signing bonus rn I think and electrician work is pretty easy to find on the outside from what I understand.

AST or nothing mate, any other rate will make you jelly of those swimmas

...

Had an Ensign Raines on the ship I was stationed on. Pronounced RAY- ness. Hated the title Ensign and preferred Mister. Mister RAY-ness. True story. USS Denver (LPD-9). HM2(SW) OEF/OIF suck my dick all non-serving faggots. IDGAF about any faggot arguments about muh israel muh welfare queen muh whatever faggy argument anyone can come up with to justify to yourself about why you're such a fag. Not to the poster I'm responding to though, he seems like an ok guy.

I heard you can get your journeyman license through the CG which is pretty dope. I also looked at AET and do the same thing but with airplanes. Flight just sounds so fucking cool and I live near Sikorsky so I bet I can make it work. I know some Sparky's and it seems they do a lot of shit work, chasing shit in crawl spaces and attics all summer. I'd rather find work in a shop and not drive a van all around the state.

I wish but there is no way I could make the cut, those guys are hardcore.

Aviation training and certification is excellent, and transfers well to the civilian sector. The downside to aviation is slower advancement, because the aviation rates are so small.

Machinery Technician also has excellent certification (engine repair, HVAC, etc) and the advancement is faster because the MK rate is the second largest rate in the CG.

How would an O2 do any work at all?

Oh wait they dont

Officers shouldnt be thanked for their service.

same same wooaaahhh same

This is everything I've heard. Dream sheet is go to Boston for non-rate work on a cutter to get sea time, and then get A school and transfer to Cape Cod. I'm a New Englander and want to stay close. I'm getting married this year and rather not have to move way away, but you know, service dictates that and its called a dream sheet for a reason.

Everyone is gonna think I'm nuts for going this path when I finally reveal it when I pass MEPS, but in 4 years I'll have flown and sailed and made some decent cash and everyone else will still be miserable working in restaurants and sales. Fuck it. I'm 30, I don't want to get fat and boring just yet,

I'm a high-paid executive at a big American bank, so I never had time to serve.

However, I want to thank all of you who did serve. Your service helps to keep profits high at American banks and helps to make sure I get a huge bonus every year.

Thank you!

Stfu nigger

Medically retired 12 year MSgt here. I knew I wasn't defending anyone's freedoms, and I wasn't saving the world, but I did know that I did the best I could to be a rock in the lives of my fellow soldiers. Both down range and back home, I got to travel to many places, make a lot of friends, and do some humanitarian aide missions as well as combat deployments. I have tried my best to steer my children away from joining and give them a better chance at being a part of society than I had.

The military is a business, it is no longer a profession of arms in the basic sense that it was, but a strong arm for corporations. Oddly enough, I am 100% ok with that fact, if it benefits this country's economy by conquering more availability and power to better the quality of lives in the US, that is just fine in my opinion.

I have met both the best people in my life in the military, and the absolute worst. I have seen true courage and bravery, but also cowardice and malingering.

The hardest part about being in the military, is getting out and adjusting to civilian life. As a SNCO I had the ability to govern a lot that went on in my life, but as a civilian I do a lot of shut up and color. It's a rough change at first.

I joined the British Army when I was just out of school in 2005. Youthful stupidity and saltiness over 9/11, Madrid and 7/7 is what motivated me.

I enjoyed my time and everything I did but feel now that it wasn't for me, for justice or anything positive. Just another meatbag for (((them))) to use.

>coast guard
>veteran
Pick one faggot.

Did a term in the Navy, rode a tin can as an Operation Specialist, got Petty Officer 2nd Class before I left.

I kind of fucking hate this country now.

Between the Jew loving cuckservatives, the leftists, and the neo con administration trying to stick our dicks in the Middle East for no fucking reason I just can't stand it. Seeing us go after Assad and slobbering Israel's cock has completely disenchanted me.

I'm still on call for the reserves, and I sure as fuck don't want to fight Russia for some petty shit that isn't out business in Syria.

I think I'd rather face jail than respond to mobilization in that situation.

>We all serve here

Nonsense. I know six Norwegians and none of them served. Norway doesn't have a real, mandatory military service.

Dont call me nigger I actually work for a living

Can't say that for an O2

Thinking about becoming a corpsman in the navy. Any advice?

Do it. Do 5 years then get out and use GI Bill to go to PA school.

Why did you get out early/how did you only make it to O2?

4 years of Norwegian Naval Infantry here, as well as 2 years of the QRF Home Guard.

I had fun. I wish I would`ve gone to Afghanistan like many of my friends.

Tried to get in, Army wouldn't have me, tried again Navy wanted me in nuke, said hell no, I want corpsman, I want to be with the marines, Med-boarded before even going to MEPS, wtf even. Certain family resources say I should just go out of state and apply at all four branches plus reserves if I still want to live the dream at all. 28th birthday is coming up soon... feelin old as fuck.

>euros
>acting hard

yeah it was so fucking dangerous in northern afghanistan where there were no taliban and the locals wanted you there

Even though you might just end up being used in a pointless sandbox war, although not too much if you're in the navy. I'll always recommend joining the military. Its like a rite of passage for any man worth his salt.

You'll always have an air of superiority over any civvies, even when you end up just a normal career after leaving service. If you live in non-militaristic countries ( like I do) or a liberal city, people will genuinely respect you out of fear more than anything else because they think you will be able to kill them. You can also LARP the PTSD thousand yard stare to freak people out too from time to time and then get pissy when they ask about what you did or saw.

I'm hated by my family and most of my childhood friends for joining a foreign military but its still been worth it for the skills, confidence and experiences I got to have which help me still to this day.

News flash you shit packing liberal faggot, Israel gets funding from our government completely separately from our own military spending. Even if we slashed our military budget by 100%, the Israeli funding wouldn't be touched. It's state department money, not DoD.

Also, if our country is a Israeli puppet we're the worst fucking puppet because everything we've done over the past 15 years has put Iran into a stronger place, which is the exact opposite of what the Isrealis want.

you need to actually have an interest in the medical field, don't do this as a proxy to get into the Marine Corps without having to do the hard part. You'll end up disappointed with only kind of getting to do what you really want.

Or just wait a little while and try them all again, their needs change quite frequently, so they often lower or higher their standards.

Besides all the fags, seriously, why didn't you pick up LT? even if you were a five-n-diver from the factory, you should've picked up 03..

OCS? CSPI? Direct Commission?

btw.. anyone going enlisted.. just ask the recruiter which rating has the highest retention rates.. yup. duck scrubbers.

Everyone wants to be a corpsman so you gotta be pretty lucky to get it. Plus since its so full your chances of advancment are very slim

This. You'll probably end up stationed at some naval hospital working as a scrub tech working GRS cases.

It's always been full. I made HM2 in 3 years.

I'm moping mostly at the thought of doing eight years of backtracking all over again that and I'd be taking a major pay cut to go in- but I wouldn't need the car anymore...
you'd think they'd have endless holes to patch in those marines and a need for all those corpsman applicants, but alas, placebos and bandaids as far as the eye can see, I've no idea what I really want to do in the service, I'm torn between being a dumb grunt, motor pool/aviation, and medical

18, going to Marine Corp Boot in a few months here, any tips?
>Inb4 stupid grunt dying for Jews

I'm also planning on getting a Criminal Justice degree and going CIA or FBI afterwards.

Dont be the best, also never be the worst. Listen, shut up and do as they say.

can i join the party if i'm a civ siginter

do what you're told, when you're told to do it, and do it right the first time. They can't kill you.. except when they do.

Anything tech is where it is at.

I worked in Site Ravenrock in S. PA. It's mostly just an AT&T switching station these days, but it used to be alternate White House site. I think Dick Cheney went there after 9-11 (I was already out of the Army, working at Wendy's for $7.25/hr). Anyway, they had a command and control room w/this big fucking scoreboard on the wall...like a 60's era H.S. football scoreboard. To see it in person, you had think that the idiots who designed this place took their cues from Dr. Strangelove.

It was in one of the four story buldings (4 of them in total) that were built in these giant man-made caverns (in addition to two huge water sisterns). They had shock absorbers, like you'd see on an old 50's era car (though much larger). Inside there were barracks, a hospital, four dining facilities, a gym, barbershop, shopette and an "automat" (place where you could buy food from various machines). Everything was painted a mint green color...made me sick. There were two Air Force master sergeants (or whatever the fuck an E-8 is in the AF) who were pretty cool; they ran this commo wing in one of the buildings. You couldn't get in there w/out them letting you, so I'm sure it was a lot like "The Falcon and the Snowman." They used to bring us 70's and 80's Playboys that they kept in a locker in the back (toss off material for end times). I'd be sitting there at one of the guard desks, desperately trying to see pussy lips through deep pyle carpeting. Good times.

Don't do anything that'll get you thrown over the side.

CG is the best service. Just so happens it is the most white too. Coincidence???

Tell me goys, should I shoot for being a USAF fighter pilot or a civilian agency spy hunter/analyst?

Could be an OCS or direct commission fag. Could very well be a jg that got passed over twice. I've seen three that got the boot at jg in the past year.

Be on time at the right place in the right squared away uniform. Yell A LOT!

Don't be first and don't be last.

I have a minor case of carpal tunnel but still want to serve. What are some good MOSs that won't fuck my wrist?

mah nigga, i've noticed this as well.

Great lakes? New England? Alaska? White as fuck and clearly superior to the rest of the country.

Fuckin bait thread but I'll bite, military experience most interesting was definitely being intentionally sleep deprived in theater in the hopes that I would commit suicide or have cardiac arrest.

Of course intentianally depriving soldiers in the hopes they have psychosis induced symptoms or end up committting suicide isnt illegal, especially in theater, so its used as a sick method of authority control.

So fuck off with your coast guard fairy tale bullshit and go drown yourself in your kitchen sink, bait cunt.

Second is Marine Corps. The trend here is swimming.

Grab the DI's hat, smile at him, and step on it while telling him to show you the world.

Anyone here in the British Army? Looking at joining the reserves when I get back home before Joining up proper 5 months after.

Well on you.
I did 4 years, served at small boat station, qualified engineer on 44' motor life boat.
Surf rescues, guarded President with secret service. then over two years on CGC polar star. Have both Antarctic and arctic service medals.
Fucking great memories. Great times.
Take an ice breaker aviation detachment...best duty in the coast guard.

Hello, navy gsm here. All jokes aside I know most of us are itching for a civil war to hang those fucking communist and liberals.

im drafted gonna get drafted this November to the IDF

I want to go out on the polar roller but thats a long time out at sea and the wife has a career that I'm also considering but we've been to Alaska before and its pretty dope. I could deal with that for a few years.

What are you doing now that you're out of the Guard?

^dumbass^

when I enlisted...a long time ago...the military accepted young "morons" that had commited petty crimes after a judge gave them 2 options...jail or service...

the military doesn't need "morons" anymore because of the large number of enlistee's...

but service instead of jail saved a lot of young criminal mens lifes

comming from a looser nation this means nothing.

looser navy looser country looser nation.

Committing next year in infantry. Love my state, my country, and my people. I'm 22, going to spend the next year on a mini-vacation as well as building muscles. Lots of things influenced my desire to serve, recently with Otto Warmbier, I feel a stronger need to sign up more quickly, but I really should wait a minute. I have a family vacation I'd like to be apart of.

Well at least our navy doesn't ferry niggers into our country to rape our children. European navy is the most chucked organisation on earth.

my service ...and travels around the world assured me no nation would EVER be able to battle America without dying...a lot...and I became a Patriot...proud of Americas place in the world...convinced good will always conquer evil...

Yep. Served for just shy of ten years. HCR and then HCMR.
