They have, it's called Wahhabism/ISIS/etc.
Reformations happen by making the organized form of the religion more accurate to the texts. This is why the Protestant movement within Christianity doesn't care for the papacy - the Bible doesn't mention anything about a Pope. Retards think that reformation is just a religion becoming "more liberal" because they are retards who do not understand the underlying system.
Wahhabi/ISIS is a most accurate interpretation of the Quran & Hadith in the world today. It IS the reformation of Islam.

The Christian reformation happened because the catholic church didn't allow plebs to read their holy book and were practising a ton of weird shit never mentioned in said holy book. Martin Luther exposed this, leading to a giant shitstorm.
Contrast that to Islam, where everyone has been able to read the book since the beginning, and there's valid theological backing for the beliefs of ISIS. A moderate muslim arguing that taking your slain enemies' wives as sex slaves is wrong doesn't have a theological leg to stand on, since the Koran explicitly states that it's OK to do so.

Compound that with the belief that the Koran is literally, 100% the word of God, unlike the Bible according to most Christian traditions. That means muslims can't just discount verses like the above, and it's either all or nothing.

I went to a catholic school, we were told that the bible eas the word of God, but we shouldn't take it literally, just interpret it.
Ans those more "barbaric/uncivilized" parts were simply products of their time and put there to show context about when the passages were written and how people lived then.
The Quran is simply take as a literal word of God, and muslims believe it should be interpreted by the fucking word.
