Changing this would mean becoming less efficient at having as few as possible decide how to allocate capital. The added decision makers would inevitably decide to consume rather than create more capital which would ultimately negatively affect production.
So you would have more people making the decisions about what to do with capital ( including not making more capital, but opting for consumption ) and end up with less capital in the long run. This would lead to lower productivity and higher goods prices and higher propensity among those making decisions to consume.
In current real life we see those who do not consume accumulating capital. Those who consume rather than spend to accumulate capital find themselves without much capital under their control - they fire themselves from the job of controlling capital by spending money on consumption.
If you think the rich are parasites, you should be all for concentration of wealth. Because of the law of diminishing returns, they consume a smaller percentage of their wealth than any other class.
Of course you may be a luddite and want inefficiency for aesthetic reasons. That is understandable. But then you must accept the suffering and warishness that lower productivity than we are accustomed to would mean.
If we bomb each other back to the Stone Age, we'll have more widespread control of less overall wealth.

The problem is that so few have already made decisions about MASS production and transmit that imposition via MARKETING, freeing others up NOT to make decisions with limited capital but instead consume without cretive input.
Efficiency is not needed except where it is needed. To "slow the economy down" in some areas will reduce waste and increase satisfaction both as an employee and consumer.
Another thing is how many minds are actually on any given project to prevent critical failure and create critical success. Those people need reassurances and a fair cut/ walking around money. They need stability.
