Apparently there is a stupid punk festival coming up in Oakland. They seem to think they are the counter culture while they follow every directive from the deep state via the fake news.
>Do you think things will bubble over?
I don't think they're gonna turn on each other. They're certainly not going to try to screw up the festival. As much as I have nostalgia for riots – I always had a great time with riots. You always got laid. There's not gonna be a riot there. Because a riot is against something. At Burger Boogaloo it’s a tribe, it's a cult, it's a family. They're all one people. They might go and attack a Renaissance Fair. But they're not gonna do it there.
It's punks of all ages. It's from nouveau punks to punk nostalgia, which is pretty great to watch. I've always felt the most comfortable in the punk community, even more so than in the gay community because the punks have always been down-low gay anyway. Some of them I see are older. You never thought punks could be oldies but badies – not oldies but goodies. It's just exciting to see a grandmother pogo dancing as much as it is to see a 14-year-old kid being a punk for the first time.
They better NOT do that, it makes you live forever

So did we decide this poster was a bot or an autist?
Christian Walker
>punks >in oakland really? Last time I was caught being white in Oakland I almost died at a McDonalds but to each their own.
Nathaniel Flores
Why would you need to?
Gabriel Stewart
Punks are lame assholes. The young ones are just mediocre nihilistic teens who listen to the same band over and over again. I used to be into folk punk until I realized every band is the same.
Punk is a dying subculture, the best parts of it have largely entered the mainstream, the rest of it has become the refuge of crusties, who are grown up nihilistic losers.
Punk is behind the times, a dying animal. The lefts continued use of punk aesthetics proves that they can't grow up beyond the turn of the millenium.
The 'reeee everything is ironic i hate everything i want to die lmao' sort of thing going on in new leftist/punk circles is utterly toxic. I was in that scene for four years. Not good.
Don't worry about punks, OP. They're nothing, or worse than nothing.
Joshua Lewis
Those underground warehouse shows put on here typically have a sign 'no commies, nazis or other politics allowed fuck off'.
The real punk right now is the street punk skinhead movement going on (the non political one, not the antifa/nazi larpers) like pic related, an upcoming concert here with Hard Pressed who are pretty good youtu.be/yc_kjiInCoM
There's some good wacky artscene punk coming out of Spain these days too which isn't commie horseshit.
I recall a post in the guardian comment section saying the most punk rock thing to do in 2017 to finger the establishment was play Trump's inauguration.
Logan Williams
What's wrong with Burger Boogaloo A bunch of bands are going to play hosted by John Waters
Where the fuck have you been, they have been doing this for a couple of years now
Jackson Long
>current year >punk subculture
pshhh, punk has been dead since the late 70s, kids. it's all fun and games to bang away on instruments you can't play as a Punk Band in your highschool years, but do not take anything seriously and ESPECIALLY not any oldfags--they'd have long ago wised up to reality, and are simply still hanging around to manipulate dumbass kids.
Samuel Hall
I'm going to that and I'm republican as fuck, as is every member of the headlining act X.
Charles Stewart
I have degenerate family members who go to these festivals in Oakland. >they all get high >they all cry >free lyft/Uber services take them home >post on Facebook later that night how "connected" they are.
Aaron Walker
Punk has died many times It comes back I'm old I've seen it happen
Christopher King
Late 1970's punker here, I went skinhead after attending a bash in Windsor, Canada.
Now about ready to retire. Loan wolf for 40 years.
Wyatt Thompson
I didn't know about that. I'll probably go if you want to meetup
Never had a problem being white in Oakland. There is one McDonalds in the genuine ghetto and I was fine eating there.

Brayden Russell
>35 $ for a punk show Yup its dead glad i got out right when this safe space no moshing rule bs started coming around
Jace Peterson
Punks have always been obnoxious faggots. First Reagan was Nazi, then bush and now Trump. They think they are fighting the establishment but they are just useful idiots for globalism.
Nicholas Torres
>Never had a problem being white in Oakland. This is because you're not a total fake-ass fucking pussy.
Jeremiah James
find better punk. the punks were just Sup Forums with shittier parents and no internet.
Jason Rodriguez
I still like good punk music but it's very clear that their "anti-establishment," "underground" views are mainstream and no longer what they think they are.
Adam Wilson
shut up esteban
Hudson Collins
Punk was already dead by 1978.
Carson Lee
Magaxcore
Jack Adams
Wait, is this true?
Austin Kelly
That is the most AI response possible. You are a robot.

Exene Cervenka is, dunno about the rest. This was her interview on moving to Texas from LA:
>"The other reason I'm moving, if the creek don't rise, is that when I moved to California in 1976, Jerry Brown was governor. It was barefoot hippie girls, Hell's Angels on the Sunset Strip, East L.A. lowriders, the ocean and nature. It was this fabulous incredible place about freedom. Now when I think about California, I think of a liberal oppressive police state and regulations and taxes and fees."
Most old school punks remember bullshit like Tipper Gore trying to ban music and don't trust either party.
Ian Mackaye, also has a red pilled political stance. Since he grew up in DC where the Fed Govt is the state's biggest industry he recognizes that everything is run by money, and neither party really matters once they get into DC they act the same in the end: they do whatever lobbyists ask them to. He votes for the candidate least likely to start a pointless war regardless what party they are.
Tyler Miller
>Punk was already dead by 1978. In a sense absolutely. In a real sense, the cultural movement lasted quite well into the late 90's and faded in the first years of the Bush Admin. Basically, millenials didn't get it so they couldn't carry a torch that people had managed to continue for about 25 years.
Adam Wright
You are the bot.
Julian Allen
Exene's Husband is also Aragorn.
Michael Williams
This punk festival could be the Altamont Free Concert of our generation
Adrian Kelly

Chase Bennett
we will be there to seek control.
Cooper Anderson
What? The Punk subculture is overwhelmingly pro-Trump. Johnny Rotten himself publicly endorsed Trump.
