Germany raids 36 homes over "hate speech"

>BERLIN — In a coordinated campaign across 14 states, the German police on Tuesday raided the homes of 36 people accused of hateful postings over social media, including threats, coercion and incitement to racism.

>Most of the raids concerned politically motivated right-wing incitement, according to the Federal Criminal Police Office, whose officers conducted home searches and interrogations. But the raids also targeted two people accused of left-wing extremist content, as well as one person accused of making threats or harassment based on someone’s sexual orientation.

Note that the German/EU definition of "hate speech" is absurdly broad and is not confined to objective threats of harm to person and property. Merely questioning the official narrative of the Holocaust, for example, falls under German/EU hate speech laws.

When will Europeans get rid of this garbage?

>When will Europeans get rid of this garbage?

When they get rid of the Jews.

Fpbp

I cant speak for the Germans, but we have a similar law here with the same level of absurdity.
It is clearly designed to prosecute political opposition. It is a continuation of far left ideology.
Good on the American legal system to identify what a clear violation of human rights this law is.

just don't say bad things about muhammed or anne frank and you'll be ok russbro

bumping while reading

Honestly, I'm not seeing Europeans ever institute something like the U.S. First Amendment. Firstly, everyone in the world is satisfied to shitpost on U.S.-owned websites, and as long as they stay off sites like Twitter and Facebook with the shitposting, they can hide under the banner of U.S. speech laws.

They really don't give two shits about the Freedom of Speech and probably just laugh at the people getting raided.

Even books are censored. I compared an edition of 2010 and an edition of 1794.

30% of the text disappeared.

Should dox the names and addresses of EVERY officer who planned and carried out those raids. If people are not allowed to shit talk on the internet then they will have to vent their frustration some other way.

That's because they had the brilliant idea of creating something called the EU. Blame that for the way Europe is right now. They've been brainwashed for years to think this is ok. Also:

>South African Flag
Are the boers gonna start killing the niggers or no?

The true triumph of the Trumpening will be getting Europeans to comprehend, then demand, American-style negative rights.

YOU GUYS ARE LIVING IN A SOVIET UNION WITH (AT THE MOMENT) BETTER FOOD.

Meanwhile in DK we just got rid of the "racism paragraph". One step towards free speech once more.

I am fine with this. Any Germanbros know how to make it happen?

Denmark has been consistently awesome.

Keep plugging all those leaks on the kettle, let all that heat and pressure build and build.

Surely this is a lasting solution.

wrong, today Germany passed a law allowing them to install maleware on phones and computers to spy before it gets to the American sites.
They probably have already been doing this but now they can use that information in court

Between this and their draconious filesharing laws, you're an idiot if you don't fork over the five euros a month and get yourself a decent VPN if you live in Germany.

>Are the boers gonna start killing the niggers or no?
Highly doubtful, but there has been some anti-PC/MC stirrings here and there. Cucked multikults like Die Antwoord aren't helping matters.

Well that sounds like a good point to raise with fellow countrymen who think they're safe.

For a stop-gap measure maybe that works, but long term?

This is why I hate taxes.

>Well that sounds like a good point to raise with fellow countrymen who think they're safe

>oh vey, protesting againsst government, that's volksverhetzung Hanz
>gotta bash your door in and steal all your electronic equipment
>can't have people in ze Deutschland having wrong opinons

Its a shame the German government doesnt pursue refugees carrying out rapes and murders with the same vigor

Multiple counts of raping underage women? Apparently less of a policing priority than a 15 year old posting memes on facebook.

HATE SPEECH IS NOT FREE SPEECH!

That's a fact.

Like it, or not, poltards.

>long term?

Long term I still give Germany more time than you.
Why don't you sell your property as long as it's still worth something and leave. You'll be hanging from a tree within five years.

fpbp. And nice flag.

>VPN
See Anything like that installed on a device is going to make a VPN redundant right?

Don't use Windows and don't use smartphones.

Oh, most definitely. Why bother monitoring traffic when you can monitor keystrokes?

>tard

that's hate speech, reported to german government

haha sure thing mohamed

Not according to the SCOTUS

Besides, most major vpns are either blocked or curtailed on most sites.

Does any of this shit actually make the mainstream press in Germany, Hans?

I fucking love my country

The "fun" part about it is that most Germans think it won't pass the Bundesverfasungsgericht.
That's why many are calm and barely protest.
But most don't know that over the years the highest judges have slowly been replaced by main aprty loyalists. So it's not a sure thing that this garbage law will be repealed, but I hope I'm wrong

tagesschau.de/inland/whatsapp-ueberwachung-105.html
They say the purpose is for whatsapp but the law itself is not restricted to it

Do you see the vote going against Merkel at all in Sept?

Personally I think it would need a major political scandal/upset to even put AfD in the running. You're closer to the people though. I'd be curious to know your thoughts?

It should be pretty damned alarming to Germans that Merkel appointed an organization headed by a confirmed Stasi agent to police social media for so-called hate speech. Check out Anetta Kahane, how sleazy her past is, and her "former" political affiliation with Bolsheviks.

It's definitely a stark contrast between this story and the US reaffirming that hate speech still falls under the first amendment.

That being said, I totally support state action where a credible threat is being made, but that still falls under existing laws pretty much anywhere in the West and doesn't need its own special categorization just because it's directed at a "special group." It's bullshit.

>Do you see the vote going against Merkel at all in Sept?
It's not about Merkel.
Both main political parties are in power right now and both are ok with this shit.
And there is just no way in hell that neither of both parties will be in government after the election.
Why would they repeal or go back on a law they pushed through? That'd mean admitting a mistake, something politicians hate doing.

Also, don't let this slide. It's an important topic for non-US Westerners.

That's Maas doing. Merkel is complicit by allowing this shit, but she'd be stupid to stop it especially if it's bad for the peopled because it will damage her political opponent in the coming election.

The perks of the 2 main political parties being the government

I dunno, luxbro, Germany and the EU in general are falling pretty damned fast. If you don't get this under control I think you'll be seeing at least as much violence as we do in ZA, if not more.

>I totally support state action where a credible threat is being made
When you get a death threat to your face in front of witnesses you can go to the police and they will just tell you that nothing happened and you have to fuck off.

But when you shitpost you get your door bashed in to scare of others with
>wrong opinions
I agree with your sentiment but there is no relation to "threat"(for people) and government reaction

Last time I heard, SPD was getting BTFO. If the Germans vote SPD it will be the only country in the Western hemisphere since 2016 who actually voted for socialism. The NRW result also seemed to suggest they are going to get washed out.

Therefore the vote is between CDP/CDU and the AfD, or the FDP (whichever takes the fore), at least that's how I see it. Of course, that is why I am asking someone with more of a feel on the ground.

>It's definitely a stark contrast between this story and the US reaffirming that hate speech still falls under the first amendment.

Yep, no such thing as hate speech. There is just speech.

And the authoritarian faggots that want to take it away.

Political prisoners.

Didn't the nazi do the same thing too?

If you're at that point then it's time to take the advice of OP pic.

Very Gestapo-esque

>Both main political parties are in power right now and both are ok with this shit.
Most people outside of germany aren't aware of this.
Think republicans and democrats ruling together under a socialist ex commie spy.

SPD has loyal voters who just vote what they've always voted. They won't dissapear, but yeah they are losing massivly.
GRÜNE are a shitshow, their most important declared issue is true same sex marriage. Totally out of touch.
LINKE got their most realistic programm ever. Before they got smeared that they have unrealistic ideas, not the case this time.
So I expect LINKE to gain SPD GRÜNE to lose, GRÜNE maybe even out of Bundestag, but it's still some time to the election.
AFD most likely will enter. Their base is quite loyal I think and not swayed by mainstream media.
A question is wether FDP can reenter, they could make some really good liberal arguments now.

SPD is unlikely to not fuck themselves over, so SPD+GRÜNE+LINKE are unlikely. FDP+CxU is probably not possible, because AFD will leech too much off of CxU.
So right now my guess is for SPD+CxU again or CxU+FDP+GRÜNE, the coalition of chaos, but our "best" most realistic chance.
If SPD+CxU are under 50% it's the best we can hope for

if that is suppossed to be the """(((Free world)))"""
i rather stay here

oy V*, Sup Forums is satire

Thanks for the info. Appreciate it.

This isn't even the first time. Last year, they raided 60+ people for the same reason.

archive.is/ZwZMq

Imagine getting your house raided for "xenophobic posts."

Hence why we're leaving, we're legally obliged to have hate speech laws under the EU and they abuse the fuck out of them.

The EU has been the biggest disaster for Europe since WWII.

Editions of what? You can't leave us hanging, spill.

I believe most of our "hate speech" are covered under a similar paragraph to the danes.
As far as I know the police rarely enforce it, have to be some really nasty shit on facebook before they take action.
Not like Germany/Britain, not even close.

Care to cite it? I'm curious as to the actual language as opposed to what is currently being enforced.

yurop is a fucking mistake

lovdata.no/dokument/NLO/lov/1902-05-22-10/KAPITTEL_2-6#KAPITTEL_2-6

sounds like norway can levy charges if you just make fun of someone for "their way of life."
