Sage and Hide

They can get a job and a cheap plan, though those plans need overhauls. I work for a multinational company and pay $200 a month for a plan that has a $7,000 deductible. Like Trump says "you're never going to use it".

Op is a fag

Most first world countries have right to health insurance. Dont you think we should follow their lead? What's wrong with insuring someone's life?

>right to health insurance
>right
wat?

Look up positive and negative rights. "Rights" are not a code word for "Free shit I deserve just because I'm alive", and if you go through life thinking this way you will never, ever figure out why you're so poor, dumb, and unhappy.

>Most first world countries have right to health insurance

These countries have the small population size, social cohesion, and Unions that allow them to do this. There's a reason denmark with a population of 30 mill can take care of its people while we here at 56% cant do it with 330 million

They absolutely have the right to purchase it
That's it though
They don't have to right to make someone else foot their bill

If everyone paid for everyone's health insurance, you're not "footing" anything. It's a collective pool for anyone to use. Is there just a human decency gap between Americans and Europeans? To Americans it always seems to be "me me me."

Sure, you have a right to private enterprise. It's a capitalist nation, after all.

It's a big pyramid scheme. Prices are jacked way up so big pharma and insurance companies can profit off of each other.
They should have free market clinics and such. The cost of being seen by a doctor would be substantially less and people could actually afford it on their own without needing insurance.

Anyone can buy insurance.

Only lazy niggers can't afford it

>Most first world countries have right to health insurance.

Everyone in the US can get health insurance. There is nothing stopping you from having health insurance except not having the money to pay for it. Most of the time you can get it for free through your job, as long as you're not working at some shit place like a fast food restaurant.

>So just give them health insurance for free when they get sick!

Well then that's not health insurance. That's just free healthcare.

Insurance is something you pay into with the expectation that you might have to take some money out in the future. It's not "free money whenever you need it".

Just try sticking to the basic concepts of this discussion without inventing things that have no connection to reality.

Technically, every country with socialized health-care is a country with shit health-care and anyone who can afford it goes private. Sadly, Americans with cash can get a CT or whatever for their dog faster than a human possibly having cancer can get it in EU. OFC, retards who support Bernie will not admit that.

faggot

Rights come from God eurofag

Nah EU has great healthcare but it wont stay that way for long. Japan is the ideal system with state sponsored healthcare but it works so well since they have very low immigration

If your government doesn't save your life when you are dying why are you paying them taxes?

Healthcare is an economic right...GOP is basically saying you don't deserve any affordable healthcare coverage for working in a coal mine.

user, where are you posting from? How long have you lived in EU if at all? Because I live in the EU, travel all over EU for business regularly and talk with people here. Real talk, face to face and not shittalking on Sup Forums. EU has abysmal health-care compared to what is available to average American with mediocre money managing skills.

Not a right, but a wrong. Don't wonder why places like Europe, Japan and South America are so troubled when young women don't need to rely on their fathers and husbands so much for health coverage and can independently go around them instead.

I don't understand how education, that is a privilege, is free, but health, that is a right, is so expensive in America.

My country is more Christian than yours, so stronger families. However, I heard the mayor of Rio de Janeiro is starting to turn that around, lad.

Education in America is not free. Same way that health-care in countries with socialized health-care isn't free. People have to pay taxes. Money doesn't just come into existence.

Seriously, all you people who think socialized = free need to stop with that meme.

we don't deserve health insurances, life is too good here unfortunately we must pay the consquences of being #1

I'm sorry but what are you talking about?

>Health Insurance
Nope
>Should they
Nope
>Emergency medical care
Yes
>Should they
its a nice thing.

We have medicair and medicaid which apply to some citizens. They're both shit.

Health service availability, why?

What a dumb non-argument, just like if I retorted with 'so God doesn't want me healthy?"

Having the right to something always costs more than just buying it in a free-market.

Stop being so lazy and entitled and buy it for yourself.

No, and no.

The availability is important, though. It isn't about saving rich people money, it's about keeping young women from liberating themselves something which is part of the free availability of these health services.

Number three four and fifteen have health insurance.

I know os not "Free", but the goverment provide education for the population, even If It is with taxe money.
What nI don't understand is why are they so worry about spoiled brats that couldn't care less about being there, and just let people die because dissesse treatment is a fortune and they can't afford It.

>being a sodomite

Hell is for ever!

>the right to be taxed so some fat retard can be kept alive

NO THANKS

>'so God doesn't want me healthy?"

He made you mortal. What do you think, dipshit?

Why are so many liberals utterly opaque to the idea that someday they will get sick and die? Science cannot make you live forever. Make your preparations accordingly and keep the noise down while you're at it.

>medicaid
>shit
in what reality do you live in? it's literally better than any other insurance i've been on and better than the insurance of everyone i know.

...

>Having a right to a commodity

Leave

So the family who's mother needs a hefty surgery and the cost is too expensive, the mom should just die and the family pretty much left out to dry? That's pretty fucked up. You'd think a country that has been to the moon, is the largest power in the world and has the greatest military strength there is would be able to, I don't know, make sure it's citizens can live a life.

Wonder how they measure "timeliness of care" as I dealt with the UK and US health care systems.

US is so much damn faster then the NHS

>anecdotal trumps fact based research

>health is a commodity

Lol sorry. That's just hilarious. There is seriously no compassion in America, it seems.

Nice graph. Now explain what the words in the legend on it means. What constitutes effective, safe, coordinated, or patient centered care? The rest? What do they mean? By what metric are they measured?

UK healthcare is great. It's just that you'll die before you ever see a doctor.

But once you get to that doctor, boy, you'll really be set. And dead. Because you live in a socialist hell-hole instead of a real country that cares about its citizenry.

Universal healthcare doesn't work! Except in every single developed country in the world

I've never been to public schools in America but (thx internet) I talked with people from all over the world and all public education is based on the Bismarck model. It's 10% education and 90% indoctrination and gimping the ability to think critically. Don't take the 10/90 split literally. That was just to make a point. Gummints have the incentive to produce drones and small losses due to poor health-care are acceptable. That is the harsh reality of life. The only value you have to those in power is as tax cattle.

Sorry but I really don't get your point. Something, something, whargarbl, women. Why bring what someone has (or doesn't have) between his/her legs into all this?

>us below anyone for quality
??????? I can literally get surgery within the next twenty minutes and survive, thrive even, if I needed to
It just would cost me my unborn child

Healthcare is a service; you don't have a right to anyone's service or labor. You say Americans have no compassion, but you want to force people to work for you. Fuck off.

Nah fuck that
If I eat healthy, go to the gym to keep myself in shape and go to the doctor once a year for a physical. Why should I be "pitching in" for Johnny lard ass who eats fast food every meal and sits his ass on a couch most of the day and goes to the doctor twice a month while also taking a plethora of pills to keep his fatass alive.
Fuck that and fuck you
Keep your shitty ideals to yourself

>denmark
>population of 30 mill
Pick one

Bullshit spreadsheet. Occupied hospital beds in the hallways because rooms are crammed is common sight in EU hospitals. Unfortunately. And long waiting lists for scans too.

Okay good. The poor will die and the middle class family that gets nailed with a big health insurance bill will become poor, and then die. It's one big cycle. You don't see anything wrong with that?

>what are economies of scale.

The US can do it even better.

Germany has 80 million people. France has 67 million. UK 65 million.

There's no reason the US can't do it with 325 million.

There is a lot of stuff that backs it up

The US was among only three countries (with Germany and Switzerland) where less than 10% of patients waited more than two months for a specialist

90% of American patientsreceived hip replacement in less than three weeks; no patients waited six months or more. UK median wait is 90+ days.

average wait for CABG (coronary artery bypass) in the UK was 57 days, in the US it less then a week.

Just wondering if they are just measuring ER wait times or something like that.

Even mcdonalds has employee health plans...

Leaf, your fellow countrymen (if they can put together a few shekels) opt to travel to US and get medical treatment and live instead of waiting for overwhelmed Canadian system to take care of them. The only people in canukistan who don't see socialized health-care for what it is are syrians and pakis because they are used to even worse.

These are healthcare costs per capita since the 1960s. The sixties are when the United States government started getting involved with healthcare. Could you tell me how your position is backed up by evidence?

Access to health care and water are not human rights.

He need to cull our over populated planet anyway.

lol that's the most retarded argument i've ever heard

50,000 out of 36 million Canadians go to the US for healthcare every year. So Canadian healthcare only works for 99.9% of Canadians.

That's your argument?

Look, this is impossible for America for two reasons: A. a diverse population with different inherent diseases which will spread research thin; B. Obesity.

Not every canadian needs extensive health care every year you dumbass

You know all the other countries on that chart have govt run healthcare right?

>america
>land of the free

Government healthcare and freedoms are incompatible. Americans are fat because they can be. They pay the consequences (at least they did before the growth of their gov programs). When a man gets fat as fuck he knows he must pay for his amputation later. When a woman eats her way to a heart attack at 34 she knows that bypass must be paid for by herself. This is the price of freedom. Freedoms aint free.

When you allow government into your healthcare you lose freedoms. You now must pay for all manner of illness and remember that this isnt 1950, youre not paying for johns leg issues from the war, you paying for 350lb john who cant stop drinking pepsi. When you make your health the responsbility of government it then creates the incentive to intervene in every aspect of your life. Taxes on anything and everything they deem unhealthy (until we find out in 20yrs time that it was that OTHER thing that was bad, like usual). Taxes on dangerous activities. You cant ride a bicycle without a helmet in my country. You cant go to a night club after 1am. This is what happens when you invite government into your healthcare. Dont get me started on the taxes either.

Then eventually youre left with paying 50% of your income for a service you know you could have got for absolute peanuts. The service is slow and inefficient and you end up going private in the end anyway. The amount of bureaucratic shit and administrators needed to set this up is insane. Pic related is what you get. US but theyre gov healthcare in all but name at this point. Eventually you hit s breaking point because this road to serfdom is a 1 way journey. The cost is too great and we begin to ration (uk now not giving treatment to smokers or the obese, i cant recall which until they hit targets DESPITE being forced to pay into this system all their lives) or you simply keep taxing until it all fails.

Only 50,000 go to the US every year. A tiny percentage.

Millions of Americans come here to buy prescription drugs every year.

Blame government intervention into what a plan should and shouldnt include. When governments legislate that insurance should cover check ups these costs rise. Insurance is about risk and when governments begin forcing them to start covering things that are no longer risks but rather annual events the cost rises.

There is a reason car insurance doesnt pay for oil changes and the like. It would simply result in high costs for all yet this same logic doesnt apply to healthcare and bloody murder is screamed when they do not.

It important to remember that 99% of healthcare costs are covered by insurance companies. The american people pay very little in copays.

>so blue-pilled he thinks women are the same as men

You're a lost cause unfortunately. I'm going to have to end the conversation here with a recommendation you get educated and stop being so ignorant, user.

It's not about getting "better treatment" or whatever; it's about having good enough treatment to where one needn't worry about dying. Universal health service availability even in a small degree spoils society, user.

Son, i'm not talking about stubbed toes. I'm talking about possible cancers and waiting for months to get a fuckin CT to confirm if it is and that's a whole lot of time to postpone starting cancer treatment and a whole lot less % chance of surviving. You obviously never had major health issues or you'd be singing a different tune. Thank god for that. Even though you are an idiot I still don't wish you harm and hope you have a good life.

Different culture. Americans have personal responsibility which is the obvious main cause of 99% of todays issues. In a society with government healthcare a big cultural shift is needed where one feels ashamed of using the pooled funds of society to pay for what he has inflicted upon himself. The issue as you can guess is that this doesnt happen and americans realise this. Brits are some of the fattest in the world yet they are forced to pay for one another. It cannot work for long and youll see the NHS collapse in your lifetime.

Yes, but my point still stands. Costs rose when government got involved.

>i'm not talking
But, please stop talking.

Plotter twist, they should end all regulations on healthcare. Allow anyone to practice medicine, with or without malpractice insurance, with a degree obtained in Harvard, in india or even a ver degree.

That would give at least some access to healthcare for poor people you don't have the shekels.

The owners of those companies are still part of the American people.

>>so blue-pilled he thinks women are the same as men
Where did I say that?
>You're a lost cause unfortunately. I'm going to have to end the conversation here with a recommendation you get educated and stop being so ignorant, user.
Whargarbl. No arguments. Ad hominem. Leaves like a spoiled brat.

OK

The real reason people here don't want universal healthcare service is because it liberates young women from their fathers and husbands, therefore ruining society, user.

>Over 40 million people on food stamps
>High obesity and illegal immigration rate
>Average student is 30k in debt
>Taxes are already high as fuck in Democrat states
>Cost of living increasing

Universal healthcare would bankrupt the U.S
Instead of losing 25% of your salary to taxes you'll be losing at least 40% which will only create more problem and a higher poverty rate

Lol on 2 separate occasions I've gotten CT scans the next day. You don't know wtf you're talking about. CT scans are easy.

MRI scan can take a few months unless it's an emergency. More and more now, hospitals are doing overnights where if you offer to come in at off-peak times (10 PM-6 AM) you can get them fairly quickly (matter of weeks).

This is all in Toronto. In the major cities you're fine. Sure if you live in bumfuck nowhere, you're gunna have to travel.

Do you have any clue how many Americans die or go broke because of their retarded system

>personal responsibility isn't important for maintaining a functioning society

Nah, you're politically illiterate, user.

your chart shows escalating in the 80s and now they're completely out of control

it's not the govt that's the problem

it's big pharma and the private industry. the for profit motive has no place in the health care industry

your system is fucked but who cares u people are too stupid to fix it

I never said it wasn't

Do children choose to get cancer?

If you give young women free access to healthcare it liberates them from the men who protect them, their fathers and husbands, user.

How anyone can look at the public school system, its immense cost and failure, then say this works lets do it to healthcare is beyond me

the so-called "private" industry (not free market) is only able to inflate their prices because of government regulation that destroys the market. Nice try though.

>Shows a graph
>The graph shows the opposite of what you mean

???

If some children must die of cancer in order that individuals in society take their responsibilities, it's obviously necessary. You're arguing toward emotion.

you're either lying or have had exceptional experience. it's fucking common knowledge that our system is garbage. you wait 8 hours to see a doctor or go to a private clinic and pay 1000 a trip.

i'm not against universal healthcare, but don't pretend our system is good. it fucking sucks.

It's simple. We analyse facts and come to our conclusions.

People who actually look at the data reach the same conclusion. USA is shitskin tier in every healthcare indicator

>inb4 400 pound Cletus who works minimum wage blames the niggers for their own problems

Yeah socialized health care definitely didn't decimate the middle class recently you're right
If you want to be a little faggot and play the "muh rich vs muh poor" game you still fall short
The rich don't feel the effects of this shit
The middle class you claim to champion (protip: you dont, you champion degenerate shit people) feels the effects of having to pay for those who don't care about their health

>right to someone elses labor
no

IF NOT, SHOULD THEY?
>Stop posting

Not to health insurance. We do have a right to health care, meaning a Hospital cannot refuse you if you need emergency care.

>implying free availability of healthcare isn't actually poison

Epic blue-pill, user. :3

>good goy
>the private sector always knows best
>healthcare CEOs are never greedy

No. Let them die.

>increase in spending after the gov't gets involved
???
