government guaranteed student loans, and a generation of kids being told that they'd literally be working at mcdonald's if they didn't go to college, while also being told to do what they felt like at college and not aim for anything employable.

There is more money than just the principle on outstanding loans.

You ruin your valid position by insisting that default is inevitable. It's not.

FWIW, I have a friend who was in the Chair Force and he had a guy in his class at basic training who was in his mid-30's close to his 40's, I think.
