Would probably be smart to stay out of the EU to avoid "cultural enrichment." I would choose Putin over Merkel as the lesser of the two evils, because at least my country would still exist in a century.

What you have to understand is that these people who took over Ukraine don't give a single shit about nationalism, nazism or whatever the fuck you want.
It's about money and power. Dropping the largely Russian-controlled government until that point created a power vacuum retards like Klitschko and co could fill.
Now there's a bunch of places (like Donbass with some mining, like Crimea was) where profit is to be made. The narrative allows these people to sacrifice countless Ukranian lives (because remember, as long as Ukraine is under this rule, in this war and in this position people are literally starving) to secure some profit for themselves.
That said, it's the US controlling them, if you want a TV answer (as you would, from your flag). Kikes funded this whole thing and made it happen so sure, I guess you can say it was the US, you being the main military and financial arm of the kike empire.
