planet money is good shit

Daily Kos.

Associated Press but only articles reporting on facts, stuff like "Trump nominated x to be secretary of y" that cannot be disputed. Stay away from any opinion pieces.

Gr8 B8 M8

I haven't been able to listen to NPR in about two years. I'm convinced that they have a social justice editorial staff that has to approve every single piece they air.

>Story about a person doing a thing: rejected
>Story about a black woman doing a thing usually done by white men: approved

The Car Talk brothers are probably rolling in their graves.

Drudge report

I agree, I tend to stay away from anything that has too much back and forth squabbling. NPR can be a bit liberal at times but I never hear any Republican bashing or hard biases on there yet.

>npr
>unbiased

it's literally just a bunch of jews and their diversity hires

Example? I've heard some good opinions by Republicans on there in the past.

I never knew both we're dead I just thought the older brother died and his younger retired. Shame.

the economist
subscription well worth it

I'm pretty sure only the older is dead, I was just jokin' around.

But no jokes, I will unironically listen to Car Talk re-runs every weekend until the day I die.

I'm curious when the last time you heard a Republican speaker on there.
I listen to NPR everyday and it is unabashedly biased towards the left. Every program since Trump's rise has been pro-immigration stories.

Recently I got talking to a conservative older woman at work (I'm 26 she's like 50+ something) anyways we have watercooler talk about politics and stuff when she goes on talking about how the media is nothing but lies. I asked her how she knows, she says that they just are. I talk to her about trump wanting to employ a CEO of an oil company (rex tillerson) and she says it's a lie...wtf.jpeg. Come to find out she's one of those types that blindly follow trump regardless of anything that goes on, just blissfully un aware of anything good or bad.

I've heard plenty of stories about the hard life boarder patrol agents have. It's not all pro Mexico or anything. There is allot of suffering in the world allot of it is disproportionately with immigrants right now.

CNN, MSNBC, and YOUNG TURKS are pretty based. Their journalist standard is top tier and unrivaled. Their Russia investigation is the tip of spear for investigative journalism.

Oh and as far as hearing from Republicans they had a segment a week or so ago about coal mines in Virginia and how coal advancement would restore jobs to a degree.

Im fond of Young Turks but otherwise I disagree, regardless more power to ya.

How long do you think they will keep playing re-runs? I wish they would re-run vinyl cafe.

I have a very high threshold for my trusted news sources that those 3 reputable outlets meet.

I haven't heard any of the stories about border patrol agents, so I can't comment.
This week there was a focus on immigrants that served in the military but eventually ended up being deported. You cannot deny the fact that the story was framed to make you sympathize with the veterans for serving our country. But ultimately what it came down to was that these veterans didn't have citizenship and were breaking the law.
Consistently with the stories about illegal aliens NPR will focus on their hardships but not on the crimes that they committed. It's an appeal to emotion that doesn't do the actual story any justice.

I'm sure you're also familiar with the stories where a journalist follows a deported family back to their country. The report always details how they live in a shithole and are surrounded by gangs that will kill them for no reason. Again, appeal to emotion. Everyone has hardships. These thirdworld country folk don't improve the US by illegally immigrating.

NPR isn't bad, but fuck is it influenced. When the first migrant wave washed ashore in Italy; they were 24/7 "LET THESE PEOPLE INTO YOUR HOMES"

This. AP is one of the last few actual havens of Journalism remaining.

CNN will occasionally have a Republican on long enough for them to make a good point before accidentally losing the live feed. Obviously that means CNN is unbiased, right?

>NPR
>Nonbias
Uhhhh.

>Neoliberal Public Radio
No.
There is no such thing as an unbiased news source. You have to correct for the biases by yourself. You can get closest with financial news such as WSJ, The Economist, etc. but even they have their pet causes. The McClatchy newswire is usually nice strong stuff too.

Not news, but my defacto standard of credible and non-bias info is Pew Research.

Literally my entire drive to work this morning was NPR host talking to guests about how the Republican health care bill will kill hundreds of thousands of people.

I'm not a big fan of Fox but why does the average liberal retard bash on them so hard?

Is this bait?

I agree. NPR coverage does bolster sympathetic emotions that being said I can say that they have never prompted fake news, propaganda, anti-trump, or anti-republican sentiment. The staff of NPR is very impartial. They have also extended offers for interviews with Republican senators and trump but they often refuse.

I listen to NPR when driving to Lubbock.
Some of their stories are good. But, I swear god. They'll have a segment on some black woman and it seems that it lasts for hours.

NHK.

You will hardly find embellishment or opinion in those news stories unless you're reading op ed of course. Shit, half of their stories don't have adjectives beyond strictly necessary adjectives.

Example:

Typical News: "In an act of futility, politician signs bill aggressively targeting drug crime in a hope to win votes from district"

NHK: "Politician signs bill aimed at helping law enforcement tackle a specific kind of drug crime"

>My personal preference is NPR.
NPR is extreme left, retard.

CNN

Fox News

Vice

MSNBC

TYT

Buzzfeed

I never said anything about CNN, but CNN and fox are both the most biased spectrums of cable news media. The recent CNN kerfuffle didn't help.

Yeah the only people that I've ever known to listen to NPR are girls on Tinder who refer to themselves as smart, well educated, well traveled.

One America News

They literally just say what is habbening
That's it

Yesterday they had some guy defending kicking people off healthcare on john hockenberry. He held his own against their skepticism. I listen to it at lunch bc its the only radio news around here.
Overall too many hosts in wheelchairs for my liking.
THIS the 15 minute NHK news on after NBC CBS evening news covers more shit than their American counterparts do in a month.

Agreed, can't tell you how many times I've heard prx talk about prisons week to week.

Democracy Now

NPR itself to be worth listening to back during the bush administration. Ever since however, they are clearly a left leaning, opinion driven, narrative pushing tabloid. NPR is not a news source because they do not deliver facts.
The closest i have found for an unbiased news source would be a combination of the wall street journal and Drudge.

>they have never prompted fake news, propaganda, anti-trump, or anti-republican sentiment
The Russia investigation is a constant talking point. This issue is propagated possibly everyday on NPR. Today they had a segment discussing the implications of a Ukranian cyber attack. Which then led into the possibility that a cyber attack using ransomware could be carried out on the US like during the election.

>The staff of NPR is very impartial.
That really depends on who is hosting the program. Most of them thrive off of their guests that spout their own propaganda. There's a guy (I don't know his name but he comes on around 12:30 EST) that is completely unprofessional and will throw insults at anyone that he doesn't agree with. For example, during the Pulse nightclub anniversary there was a whole segment dedicated to talking about the police effort to stop Omar. The host constantly talked shit about the police where he criticized how they handled it and strongly suggested that they should have charged through the front door.

They just had a segment on today with a two niggers and the entire segment was the host and the two niggers competing with each other to see who could be more of a virtue signaling cunt.

Tax funded leftist propaganda

>I'm convinced that they have a social justice editorial staff
Naw, they have somewhat balanced coverage. They never dive deep in the political theater, just touch on some social issues like this Trumpcare catastrophe and women success stories. 1A with Joshua Johnson is a good show, I like Tom Ashcroft and Kai Rysdal.

lol k

NPR has turned into one giant op-ed. There's basically no point to listening except for pure entertainment. Even then, I'm not going to debase myself by trivializing important subjects and news by treating as pure entertainment like some child.

>Too many red pills being dropped, (((they))) have to shut it down
Toplek, jk
They're just mad that news programs don't treat right wing opinions (even neocon ones) as self-evidently laughable
>why are you not disputing every conservative opinion with my left wing opinions in real time as they're talking?! Delete these right wing lies reeeeeeeeee

In addition to WSJ and Drudge, I also am starting to like the investigative work of Circa.

As far as the Russia investigation they are parroting information given by authorities in our information agencies. I haven't heard any npr host yet outwordly declaring Russian ties as fact. Their guests sure do though.

TYT had the best live presidential election coverage.

>Listen to NPR
>Some black woman that got sent to jail five times has a organization to prevent recidivism
>Talks about sisterly love in jail
>her son was innocently killed by LAPD
That damn segment lasted two hours.

Because they didn't shift to the left as far as everybody else in the country. So, automatically, that makes them "far-right," "state-run media," "faux news," and "blah, blah, snore."

Sup Forums

>naw
Why do people do this? The word No is one less letter and you don't sound like a nigger. You're welcome

its leftist

>I'm not going to debase myself by trivializing important subjects
Like putting Hillary in prison? Saving Carrier jobs? Lifetime lobbyist ban for White House employees who also work for foreign governments?

Yeah, I'd rather hear about the ransomware that failed to collect any real money.

That's not news coverage, I like NPR but that doesn't mean I like all their segments. Just like someone watching Fox might not like fox n friends. I'm glad Dianne Rheam retired, I couldn't take her much longer.

>93% of cnn coverage is negative
>52% of fox news coverage is negative

>omg cnn and fox news are both super duper biased herp derp

No, nigger, CNN is biased. Fox News is about as centrist as it gets. That you would claim otherwise shows you're a fucking retard. The facts are not in your favor here, kike.

NPR & Democracy Now. Top kek

Amy Goodman is a shillbot

NPR is utter horse shit who are always pushing a liberal narrative. Even when they get a conservative guest hes just barely right of center. That said I do enjoy listening to them. Its relaxing to a degree, and you can never get sick of hearing them bitch and bitch about losing.

You're right. Ignoring real issues and catering exclrto the coastal elites is working well for liberals. Keep doing that.

...

>As far as the Russia investigation they are parroting information given by authorities in our information agencies. I haven't heard any npr host yet outwordly declaring Russian ties as fact.
How is that not propagating fake news? There is literally no evidence of any collusion and yet it's talked about on almost every one of NPR's programs every day.
No news official is going to declare a Russian tie unless there's a smoking gun. They're not stupid.

Breitbart

npr is one of the worst. half of their articles spiral into some social justice related subject.

That's entirely biased on the administration at the time, the same pol could be flipped during the Obama administration. They tweak there coverage depending on there viewer base.

dailystormer.com

NPR is overwhelmingly liberal
found the liberal shill

About 3 years ago I used to listen to NPR very regularly and was always impressed by the fairness and thoroughness of their coverage.
Since the election I can barely stand to turn it on except on the weekends for shows like Car Talk and Ask Me Another.

The day I stopped trusting them as a news source is when I did an experiment. I was driving around the city for a few hours doing errands. I noted every anti-Trump quip, message, or straight out story for that entire time. In the course of 2 hours they manage to have an anti-Trump message over 300 times. Even in human interest stories they would shoehorn in some kind of snide comment about Trump.

NPR is not objective news. Get your information somewhere else.

keep telling yourself that. NPR didn't bring you those stories. They bought them and packaged them. You want them in an entertainment format, I get it.

But I don't. I want NHK's format or something similar. Just the facts, or at the very least the most factual least subjective presentation of a story or issue.

As far as international news goes, I love CNC. They have a blatant bias towards china obviously, but when they cover anything other than china and africa they do a better job than the domestic stations.

> I noted every anti-Trump quip, message, or straight out story for that entire time. In the course of 2 hours they manage to have an anti-Trump message over 300 times. Even in human interest stories they would shoehorn in some kind of snide comment about Trump.
I don't think I've ever noticed it being that large scale and I hope that isn't true.

What really irks me is any time there's an executive order or any news about the president, then the host has to explain why that's a BAD thing. There is never a segment I heard where they explain the benefits available from an executive order, etc.

CNN, is fox news for democrats. i hope you're trying to be funny

no. how dare you proudly say you watch cnn, fox, and fucking buzzfeed.

I disagree. NPR was in its prime when they didn't focus on politics. Every news segment just explained to you the inner workings of America or some drought that you've never heard of in some unnamed jungle.
Now, a story about a drought in an unnamed jungle will be accompanied with something along the lines of, "If we let our current administration control climate science, then this jungle will disappear forever!"

I agree with that statement, but the state of the news service isn't that way anymore.

Early 2000s NPR was quite good.

NPR always has pieces about black people honestly. Recently there was one about how back in the 60's some school had a fairly good amount of black people graduating but now has barely fucking none and a bunch of violence. And it tried saying "THE SCHOOL IS INTRODUCING NEW PROGRAMS TO MAKE IT EASIER FOR THE KIDS"

At this point if a nigger can read a dr seuss book they can get into college because affirmative action and shit like that.

If this isn't bait and you think npr isn't biased you need to blow your brains out right now. There is no such thing as an unbiased news source. However, biased doesn't necessarily mean manipulative. For example, if someone writes and article where they make it pretty clear what their opinions are, that's fine. However, npr is especially shitty because they pride themselves on being "unbiased" but they do shit like bring in the leader of the "socialist furrys of America" to comment on a fucking pipeline being built through an Indian burial ground.

I listen to NPR every day. They have a left lean bias that's fairly clear. Whenever they need donations they go full liberal clusterfuck though. It's so fucking annoying.

>There is literally no evidence of any collusion
There's actually a lot of evidence that the Trump campaign was deliberately going out of its way to meet with Kremlin officials. That's not normal, and it's not what real American patriots would ever do.

I say with pride and passion.

There isn't one. You need to just read a great deal of real history and take info from more than one source, and be the judge of when you're being bullshitted. It's up to you, not finding the "right" channel that won't lie to you. It's up to you. Read Michael Hoffman.

>NPR non bias news
Right...Evey time there's a Muslim attack in the world NPR puts out a story about the poor oppressed Muslims or Islamophobia or evil Christians. Add to the sucking jew dick whenever they can with their puff pieces.

>deliberately going out of its way to meet with Kremlin officials
Explain what that means in further detail. The White House meets with officials from almost every country. What proves your statement as collusion?

Hillary's campaign team met with the same diplomats though...

>..Evey time there's a Muslim attack in the world NPR puts out a story about the poor oppressed Muslims or Islamophobia or evil Christians.

You've never actually listened to NPR, have you? I listen every day and I've never once heard anything like that.

Why just last night NPR put on BBC programming saying exactly this! What a coincidence.

But it's too bad Dying Reme is gone. She buttblasted the numales until the end.

Despite being neocon garbage, they are the ONLY American conservative outlet that operates cross-platform (TV+internet) and has serious international reach. If Fox was left alone it would become all to obvious that liberals were dominant in media, so the dead horse is dragged over to be beaten any time some college student wants to feel like they are "fighting the man".

Did you listen to NPR during the interval when you almost couldn't turn it on without accidentally hearing about the latest dildo or yoai or 50 shades of transgender from This American Life or that fat whore running the """news"""?

Are you utterly crazy?

I've taken dicks up my ass everyday and I never have once ejaculated.

Are you joking?
Just yesterday there was a segment with some prominent American Muslim figure that discussed how he combats Islamophobia with humor.

Wait for the next inevitable attack and be sure to pay attention to how they describe the assailant.

>npr

I heard that. It was from the BBC.

And it was not even close to funny. Just goes to show how goatfuckers are low-IQ due to inbreeding.

Interesting, most are economically liberal or moderate.

AP and reuters reporting allow a fuckton of room for editorializing, especially in headlines and leads, but yeah they are definitely the best and least partial information source that actually have a significant number of actual-journalist staff

(((news)))
Only news sources I trust are crime related ones like correctionsnews.com and fbi.gov, the rest I watch for lulz. Associated Press, The Economist, and Reuters are the least biased from I've gathered.

(((The economist)))
