SWEDEN YES
>Me and some classmates decided to go out to the suburbs outside Stockholm to see how it was there. On one of the stations, there was a double homicide just 17 hours before we got there. Minnesljus and flowers were in the middle of the subway. It was on the front page of the local newspaper, but nothing in the media. At another station, we decided to stay in the sun for a while and discuss what had happened. A bunch of guys came up to us and said (don't remember exact words but the message is exactly the same):
>- what are you doing here? Are you buying?
>I answered
>No, we're not buying anything. We just want to sit here.
>- are you cops?
>- no.
>- well, then you must leave now.
>- why?
>- it's a warning. I'm telling you to leave now. >We're not used to seeing swedes here. I don't have a problem with it but there are others who have it
>- but aren't you Swedish? You live in Sweden and speak good Swedish.
>We're not used to seeing white people like you. Do you understand? Now I'm warning you because I want to be fair, but I can't stand with you. You should go.
>We saw more people standing around looking at us, so we left. Completely unprovoked, he came up to us and thought we were dealers or cops and that we needed to go because we were white. 30 min from my home and even shorter from the place where I was born. Am I not supposed to be in some places in Sweden because I'm white, without being threatened or suspected? This has gone too far
