I have a difficult time accepting the rest of Christian metaphysics ("existence" of heaven, hell, angels, demons, prayer, hearing from God) but I also have spoken with enough people to know not to categorically rule them out (especially ex-Satanists), and thus greatly appreciate Peterson's comment that he 'acts as if God exists'. The psychological profundity that can be extracted from the Bible is amazing, though I am naturally skeptical about whether or not that meaning is actually 'in' there, or whether people are reading into it (though it could also be asked whether or not that matters if you extract out something useful). Christ fascinates and troubles me, and again I greatly appreciate Peterson's take on Jesus as a meta-hero. The historicity of the Bible is another troubling topic. What should be made of the fact that there are Egyptian chariots on the bottom of the Red Sea? What should be made of the fact that by any historical standard, the life and death of Jesus the Christ are indisputable? I also have trouble with the idea of the Trinity, and all in all, I find myself with more questions than answers wrt religion and spirituality. They're coming. With Molymeme, Faith Goldy, Jordan Peterson, and the high concentration of non-liberals outside the cities, it is only a matter of time before we start organizing off-the-grid reactionary communities. Whether or not the Canadian government will allow these communities to exist unobstructed is another question, but I don't see any other way forward for anyone who is Canadian and even a little bit right-wing
