There's a good argument to be made that blacks only 'acted white' as in had stable families and stuff because the whites were 90% of the population and had all levers of power, so they had to get in line. I guess that major factor would be wether you prefer instant gratification or if you would sacrifice your life for the possibility of a greater good. As if you chose A, society would be great WHILE you live in it, and it would continue to be great, but not ideal, as it would still separate it's citizens by race in a certain degree, not reaching perfect integrity. While choosing B would make your life hell, but it would leave open the chance that someday, when you are old or dead (ideologies take a fucking long time to swing back) that it could go right and reach perfection.
Basically, do you want to live happy in an almost perfect country? Choose A, do you want to martyr your life for the POSSIBLE (not certain) Utopia? Choose B.

Sweden and Norway are basically option B, close to it, or were it in the past, and are some of the nicest countries in the world to live in with extremely high social cohesion. The US is much closer than any other country to A and even if people here were right wing there's still little social cohesion, some demographic groups bring everything down for everybody else, crime is insanely high for a first world country, etc., so Option B is obvious really.
