But now that army is completely fucking them over. They're a bunch of loud-mouthed Buzzfeed and Tumblr retards, so they're constantly acting on their own initiative, saying and doing stupid shit, and making the company look bad.

The WEAKNESS of CNN is that they have a single, monolithic brand image, and ANY scandal will be attacked like sharks smelling blood in the water, just like they do to anyone else. The atmosphere of "one mistake and you're fucked" that they helped to create, that they profit off of, is now turning against them - and they're filled with wangsty nu-male dipshit "researchers" who are more like attack dogs than loyal soldiers.

CNN's only option at this point is to clamp down, ruthlessly, with typical corporate inefficiency, on all leaks and bad behavior. This will create an atmosphere of FUD and resentment, and it goes against the whole hiring policy of favoring these Buzzfeed crusaders in the first place. CNN's army is going to become mutinous, as every scandal and slip-up causes more backlash and internal memos and office in-fighting. There's nothing they can do.
