I must admit that I have never visited Israel nor did I ever apply for a passport, reluctant to anger my dad (who's really militant about Israel being a joke). We're barely religious and don't observe any rituals apart from visiting the synagogue every now and then and keeping it kosher on Saturdays, out of habit.

Would I be even welcome in Israel? I sure as fuck don't feel welcome in Poland anymore, my late grandfather being a literal communist Jew.
