My parents brought me to this country when I was super young and I picked it up from my school friends.

Where you originally from then?

Jesus Christ what is wrong with women.

Also OP I learned it because we get the first Pirates of the Caribbean film on video back in the day, and me and my brother watched it over and over and over again so we learned all these little phrases and expressions from it.

Why don't you fuck off to Sup Forums instead of spamming the catalog even more?

So like weeaboos with the (((ANIME)))

Dont be an utter nigger by hiding your flag you faget

>best
how is that the best language mate?
for its simplicity, probably yes, for its logic and precision, no fucking way. even Brits can't properly pronounce some of the words

t. polack

My mom let me watch Disney movies as a kid. The first movies I've ever seen are The Little Mermaid and Beauty and The Beast. Lol

Kind of like that yes, most Dutch people learn English from films and internet.

I was fortunate enough to be born in America and learn the language of Space Colonizers.

If you don't speak American kys.

I learned it in school. The Internet, watching movies and listening to songs helped, too.

in school the basics, and then just from the internet since basically almost everything is in english

mmorpg's at a young age

How do you learn the language from the films though?

If I listen to something in a different language, even with subtitles, I can't keep up with what's being said at all

I used to watch American TV shows a lot back in Mexico. I spook English pretty good when I got here.

Alright, here is my story:

>be czech
>be 10 years ago
>don't speak a single word of english
>get a new computer which can actually handle dvds and shit and a good internet connection
>start watching english movies and tv shows all day every day, because i have literally no social life and no friends
>without spending a single second by actually learning burgerpseak on purpose become fluent in just those 10 years
>took a C1 Cambridge english certificate last month because it will look good on my resume
>did so well they actually awarded me C2 (the highest one possible, you need to be basically a native speaker to be able to get it, not even some of the native americans (white trash mostly) are able to get C2

Thats it. Never learned it for a second. Easiest super useful skill i ever get by doing nothing and all it took was a lack of social life and 0 friends. (You probably got that part down) so get torrenting my friendo

...

Youtube and games, mostly. School too obviously.

I moved to America and began watching burger cartoons like the Flintstone and the Jetsons.

Runescape and cartoon netvvork

try movies with little/slow dialog and dont try to learn a langue in one shot one word at a time

some from school, some because my stepmom has relatives from scotland and most from the internet

vidya games, movies, slowly transitioning from polish anime subs to english subs and of course the internet

by american pornography

I was watching a TV show ,Supernatural, for a few years. And then I just started speaking English like a Native. Although I learned American accent and can't imitate English accent well. Feels bad man.

playing halo 24/7 and watching old minecraft playthroughs

Videogames and movies. Also I easily learn anything interesting to me for some reason. Got a problem with boring stuff like math though.

>Although I learned American accent and can't imitate English accent well. Feels bad man.
same
maybe its a bit weird but American accents always felt more natural to me, probably due to shitload of hollywood movies i used to watch as a kid

>watching old minecraft playthroughs
This is why adolf wanted your people gone

I wish this worked for japanese as well ;_; But i either don't watch enough animu or english is just so super easy that this shit worked for some reason

Games desu, rpg's and adventure games are good for learning basic vocabulary. Also bonus points for dwarf fortress, taught me alot of mineral/metal names.

started learning it in elementary school and then in middle school. up until now I was exposed to all sorts of english speaking media. english speaking films, english anime subtitles, youtube etc.

vydia

i would put English sound and subs in Spanish . then i would translate them to Portuguese when i was 10.

To defeat your enemy you have to understand your enemy.

oh yeah, english based games were important for me as well.

That's why I'm learning Chinese.

Mexico of course

I watched Friends

(((ANIME)))

From anime subs.

through the electric jew, of course

f... final fantasy series

school, vidya, books and by knowing some native speakers

Thats why I learnd English. Soon your dead.

We start learning English in 3. grade here
Also Runescape

Also I pirated the shit out of films and TV-series and watched it without subs

School and video games

From The Last of Us playthrough with English subtitles and a dictioary and the basics from school.

>the first poc came out in 2003
How underage are you?

By watching a bunch of 80's cartoons and shows (we got them in the 90's)
And some 90's stuff

A-team
Dukes of Hazzard
Airwolf
Golden girls
G.I. Joe
Transformers
Power Rangers

And watching a bunch of old Westerns and War movies they where on tv every Friday and Saturday night and sunday afternoon

When TV was fun and not a bunch of cancer

Do you have dark skin?

It works for every language. I learned german by watching superRTL(Nickelodeon shows in german) from the age of 3-8.

Im a woman and i dont want men in my washroom because all the cleaners I know say our bathrooms are cleaner and OP's picture is a totally cool behaviour. They won't mind. Our lines are longer and we have tits and super gonorrhea

learn it in schol in brasil

games my parents realy just left me to my own devices so i always used to to play on my dads old NES (bart vs the world) understood jackshit of it since i was 7 to 8years old but gradually i learned the simple stuff but my English skills really took of when my dad bought a ds lite when it came out and got one of those download cards

No, do you?

Runescape.

I thought moaning sounded the same in every language

At elementary school, but it was mostly focused on grammar through sheer repetition. So I never had much issues with that, the downside is even now I find myself struggling to find the correct word, my vocabulary is weak and my english unnatural.

I learnt the basics at school but since italian education doesn't focus much on higher levels (you can barely get a B2 certificate at the end of high school) I had to study everything else through american movies, tv shows, subtitled animes, youtube videos and memes. I still have an italian accent tho and that sucks

I'm from Pune my friend

I used to have dark skin, then I used operation

>tfw have been learning German for three years and can barely speak it
>tfw the only thing I used my German for in Europe was ordering food

>Play cRPG vidya, too much text in NPC dialogues, what are they saying? Try to understand using some intuition and some words that i've already knew.

>Watch some animu, want to watch ongoings, english subs are always released 3-4 days earlier. Fuck it, download english subs.

>When watching movies with dub i started to notice original voices and they were bettter for characters. Hear RU \ EN voices at the same, total clusterfuck. Fuck this. Start donwloading original TV series and movies. Fuck yes, finally actors have correct voices.

Topkek, post before after and is their a place called bhosari in pune

This pretty much, you need English to hustle that sweet GP

Americans talk too much in their porn.

So, anyone here went though the making subtitles in your language for english movies and animu phase?
I did, (back when i did it i still had to use dictionary as well for some things) but after i realized how much fucking work that was and i was doing it for free and never got even any thnaks, i was like fuck that shit

youtube.com/watch?v=y9K0SzFIf4A

School. Discovery channel when it wasnt shit.

>I spook English

Underrated kek

Holy shit, you learned English by watching an anime girl speak Japanese, and then read the subtitles which were in English? Dafuq?

video games and the internet overall

Grand Theft Auto series. III, Vice City and San Andreas, circa 2003-2005.

16 mate

Currently rereading 4+ million word fantasy series listening to audiobook by english narrator. Only 4 of 16 books were released in Russia. RIP fantasy readers in Russia. Best fantasy that i've read in my entire life.

video games, mostly.
one of the reasons it took me 4 years to beat TLoZ: MM.
got stuck in the ice temple where the fairy says what you have to do. Off course, not understanding english at the time made it harder for me.

One can pay for the CAE and receive the CPE? I mean that aside from your great skill those exams have different price. Did you also have to pay some additional money?

doctor house, prison break, breaking bad
