What went wrong?
This isn't even a mediocre slide thread. I genuinely want to know. Look back into the past and the continent was actually capable of functioning. What the hell fucked this place up so bad? Even up in Central America, Mexico once had a functioning government. Was it communism? Was it the cartels? Was it the CIA? Was it all 3?

Brazil was turned from 80% white into a mulatto hueland by socialist scum.
As for the rest, mostly socialism but also drugs.

Lack of Anglos
The Spaniards failed to establish lasting, functional institutions and encouraged mixing with the natives. The US viciously drove the natives out and had British institutions of governance already in place at the time of independence.
Multicultural, low IQ populations... Add democracy to the mix, and socialism is simply inevitable.
