Star Wars is basically a 2 dimensional war boner series compared to classics like Star Trek (TOS/TNG not the JJ Abrams abominations) which actually dealt with more complex ethical and technological issues rather than a boy being radicalised and joining a terrorist cult so he can kill thousands of people on a space station whilst being glorified for it.

Science fiction in general is like an outlet for people's ideas and a way to extrapolate current issues to hypothesise what issues humanity could experience in the future, be it cultural or existential. They're fun thought experiments, at least for now.

It's actually a horror movie depicting the horrors of socialist ideology and the dangers of unchecked immigration.

Nice outlook on Star Wars. I can agree with most of what you said. So you think the empire was good than? Do you think the underlying lessons of the force are good? Or do you think they're mostly bullshit?

Star Wars is fantasy set in space.

It doesn't even try to be scientific.

>Lets go outside the ship, which doesn't have an airlock, into a cave on an asteroid in nothing but a tiny breathing mask.

>Sir, if the Millennium Falcon went to hyperspace it could be on the other side of the galaxy by now.

>She'll do .5 past light speed!

ARE DROIDS PEOPLE? ARE DROIDS SENTIENT? ARE THEY JUST SLAVES? HOW COME THEY CAN BE TORTURED IN JABAS PALACE BUT C3PO CAN BE DISMEMBERED AND ISN'T SCREAMING IN PAIN?

WHY DOES GETTING AN OIL BATH FEEL GOOD?

It's literally a story for 5 year olds. Nothing makes sense. Everything is glossed over. It's all fucking stupid, and the more you think about it the more retarded literally everything gets.

>Falcon escapes death star.
>Fights off TIE fighters.
>They LET us escape so they could track us.
>GO TO SECRET REBEL BASE ANYWAYS.

Really analyze the movies and you realize they're actually fucking dumb.

the new straw wars are trying to hard to be covert political statements. have not seen rogue one but the seen the shore trooper on sideshow it was a cool trooper. anymore when i watch the movies i root for the empire

Original 3 were just fun space westerns I think every kid and their dad watched them together.
The prequels were cancer but fun enough to keep children entertained
The current 3 are just jewjew abrams presents: Diversity and virtue signaling (lens flare edition)

Who needs idea when you can have aesthetics.

Star Wars is pretty based. The OT has pro-religion and pro-family themes. The PT is literally about a secret society engaging in political conspiracy to take over the Galaxy.
Disney Wars is shit though.

i agree that after you watch them the holes are large; the largest by far was in the third one where padme died during child birth; they couldnt say that because she was giving birth to kids fathered by a jedi that the children turned into life leeches coming out of her love canal the best they could come up with was she's lost the will to live....surrounded by medical technology that could only be dreamed of so yeah that was ONE retarded instance that is provable as hollywood stupidity

Darth Vader did nothing wrong.

The Empire did nothing wrong. It's literally a human supremacist fascist nation, what's not to love?

Rogue One is actually good precisely because it doesn't have covert political messages. I mean sure, it softballs some trendy cliches like a female protag and some racially diverse characters, but in the end the writing and story is good enough where it doesn't seem like the producers of the movie just stopped caring once they reached their diversity quota.

I would give it a shot. It's basically a direct prequel to A Mew Hope.

...

>I wanna know what POL thinks of the movies. Also scifi in general.
ok if you are under 12 but other than that gay

The empire was obviously not the good guys, they were literally a representation of nazi germany, the methods the rebels took entered some grey areas.

Regarding the force the films really don't do it justice like the expanded universe did. Traditionally the force is seen as a dark/light or good/evil issue, but when it is looked into it is reviled that there is no good or evil only different subjective perspectives in an indifferent universe. In fact when the sith split from jedi they were not inherently evil they were simply seperatist, and the jedi purged them through genocide, and as a result of their victory they painted themselves as a heroic force struggling against the darkness. That part of star wars franchise I did like, it showed that everything isn't as it first seems.

Star wars turned to shit when it was sold to ((Disney))

George Lucas was actually quite redpilled.

The republic and democracy ultimately lead to a corrupt society, which the sith could exploit to gain ultimate control.

The empire provided peace and stability to the galaxy.

The ironic part about the new star wars stuff from ((Disney)) is that they ultimately demonstrate that democracy and "rebellion" will lead to war over and over.

That scene with darth vader in the hallway almost made me fucking jizz in the cinema.

As it did for most SW fans. Makes you think, people dont seem to cheer for the rebels anymore.

It's literally about America post mass immigration. Blomkamp is no fool.

Warhammer 40k is better

they are at a tipping point though where disney is going to out poe and finn (i heard) and if that happens...welll it isnt about being fucking progressive at that point but pushing queer propaganda into films to reflect modern day life....people go to the movies to escape not to be reminded of how shit life is

>glorifying terrorists who murder hundreds of thousands due to religious interests.

Gee, i wonder ((who)) benefits from that.

Loved the movies when I was a kid
Had lots of star wars legos
Loved the 2003 clone wars series on cartoon network
One of my top 5 favorite games of all times is the Jedi Knight series, played the shit out of it's multiplayer back in the day
Read some comic books

Didn't really like force awakens.
Hated rougue one
Don't even know the name of the next movie, no hype whatsoever to see it

I don't know if it is because of the redpill, or because of all the "GEEK CULTURE XD" faggots that I don't want to be associated with, but I can't bring myself to care about star wars anymore.

Star wars, and sci fi in general is good until a certain age, after which it becomes quite clear that if a person likes it, he/she is mentally damaged. just look at all the women above 17 who still like harry potter and related literature/media. I'd say it is good for watching in your free time but I'd advice against investing your time, or thoughts into it.
Study art/non fiction literature instead, do what interests you. You like music ? Learn music theory, it's a noble art.You get the idea.Plus these days any star wars "fan" is the extreme pseudo-intellectual who thinks he's superior because he watched an entry level sci-fi movie.Same when a person mentions one punch man. You just know he doesn't know shit about anime or manga
